roger_borgholon 18/08/2017 14:14The hotel is located in a strategic location, it's in front of the metro station and in it's very close to bellecours, the city center, RER station and you can have a dinner or lunch within the hotel area.
The breakfast is very good (nothing was missing in the breakfast) specially the French Cheese :).
The room is comfortable.

I stayed in an off-street room so I did not hear any noises.
Staff are friendly and helpful and our limited French did not bring us any trouble.
Breakfast is fine but we felt that we had enough after a 3-night stay.
A very pleasant place to stay with a secure underground car park
Bill Pon 31/07/2017 12:06We had a very clean and comfortable bedroom with en-suite shower on the second floor which overloooked a pedestrianised area and Square. Alas not in the older part of Lyon for which (if you wanted to drink) you would need to hire a taxi for about 20 euros return.
Plenty of cafes/bars and restaurants nearby and the hotel had a nice little first floor bar area which was open from about 6 pm to 8 pm. Breakfast was served in the first floor dining room which was excellent. There is a lift/elevator which is a great help.
Superb location
Happydaze32on 17/07/2017 01:49We stayed at this hotel for five nights and found it to have everything we required. It is in an excellent location; an easy pleasant walk to the train station and subway stations. We took several day trips while in Lyon, and this was a definite plus for us.
The breakfast was delicious, offering many breakfast breads, fruits, cereal, eggs, and beverages.
The communal patio area was a nice place to relax after a busy day of sightseeing.
What we really appreciated about this hotel was the staff. They were always willing to help, making recommendations and also dinner reservations for us. My husband needed to send several contracts home to New York while we stayed in Lyon. Several of the staff worked diligently and patiently with him until this was completed.
There are many lovely things to visit in the city of Lyon, and when we return, we would not hesitate to stay at the Hotel Alexandra again.

JimArcherNZon 16/05/2017 20:37This hotel is in a great location to lovely pedestrian malls, both rivers, Bellecour and so many restaurants and eateries. The rooms are well appointed and tidy if a little warm at night, but if you opened the window, especially on the fourth floor it was good. The people on reception were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. All in all we had a pleasant 3-nights there.
