Located at the quiet part of platamonas, close to the sea, there is a path from the hotel to the beach.
You can order drinks from the hotel to the beach.
A great view from the hotels balcony.
Rooms are clean and nice.
Good breakfast is served at the balcony.
The staff are very kind and friendly.
Near the hotel there is a small supermarket.
Access is from the road near the sea. Park a long the road and take the elevator up to the hotels balcony.

More than meets the eye

Been here 2 weeks ago. The spot is 10 minutes from the busy Platamonas main street and has a wonderful seaview from its terrace and also glimpses at the nearby Castle. The room was nice and tidy , of decent size, and the bonus of having a safe. We also chose to have breakfast at the restaurant and it was ok, could have had a greater variety of local greek products. For the rest of the meals it s advisable to check out the tavernas located in the Platamonas port. The best thing was the beach just in front of the hotel which is awesome and a good place for snorkeling. So all in all it s a nice place for spending a couple of quiet relaxing days on the olympic riviera, that s what we did :)

September at Alkyonis Hotel Platamonas

We chose this hotel after reading the rewievs on tripadvisor and it was exactly what we were looking for. We spent 5 fantastic days in the midle of September (2015). Weather was perfect, the see warm and we wached every day the sunrise from the see from our balcony or from the hotel terase. Alkyonis is one one side of Platamonas, with a splendid panorama of the see. Hosts were nice and friendly. Quoted as as 2*+ hotel, it was a nice surprise to see that the room was with aircondition, clean, towels ans sheets changed every day. Breakfast basic, good but the same every day. Dinner good, tho warm courses, different from one day to another. If what you are looking for is a quiet place Alkyonis is the perfect choice. And choose the sea view room - the day and night contact with the see worth paying the difference. And another advice if you are in Platamonas: visit a traditional village in the neighbourhood (maybe 15 km) named Paleos Panteleimonos. We drove there and manage to find it, even if our GPS didn't know where it was and even if the name was written only with Greek characters. Warmly recommended.

10 minutes walk away from the busy boardwalk, this hotel is towering over a quiet, clean, gorgeous beach. The view from the room's balcony is breath taking.
We looked for a quieter place, a little bit away from the business of the main area, and this was the perfect place for us.
The rooms are basic, and not very new, but clean and tidy, and equipped.
The staff is very friendly, and breakfast was fine.
We definitely recommend.

Bad choice for a longer stay - OK for fewer days.

Location is OK. The town center is 12 minutes' walk away.
The beach is in front of the hotel.
Guests use the beach chairs and umbrella only if they buy something from a menu of drinks. The rooms are small but clean. Hygiene is satisfactory.
WIFI in the entire hotel and the signal is good.

The Waiters were very friendly and helpful. The Chambermaid are very dedicated to their work.

Board meals (breakfast and dinner) was uneventful and very poor choice. Breakfast is continental with a choice, but every day is the same choice.

You have not a choice for dinner - the offer is only one dish and appetizer. For the 10-day stay in the offer is the same salad. Appetizer is a strange combination of a meal (eg macaroni as an appetizer and fish with potatoes as a main course).

I hope that the hotel management to devote more consideration to this problem.
