Good hotel
Tamara Mon 07/07/2017 18:54All employees at the hotel were very kind.
The breakfast was plentiful and varied.
We had a wonderful view from the seafront room.
Parking in front of the hotel could be better.
A little objection because there was not a bigger choice of meat for dinner.
Nice weekend break
katjamail2on 10/04/2017 13:01My boyfriend and I stayed (for the second time after two years) in this hotel last weekend. Even though it was april and just a beginning of the season, hotel was quite full. Mostly seniors from German-speaking countries, few families and couples from nearby countries.
The room was spacious, clean (thanks to Mrs. Angela - who already smiles in the early morning), view from balcony is stunning (we had superior seaside room). If you want to be fussy customer, you can notice some minor "aestethic imperfections", but they are not of vital importance.
Food was delicious and a lot of choice at breakfast (cereals, sausagges, cheese, eggs, jams, "light corner", different sorts of bread... ) and dinner (2 soups, fish-, meat-, pasta-dishes, different side dishes, pizza...).
Receptionists always helpful and flexible (thanks to Mrs. NataĊĦa and a man whose name I forgot, sorry ;) ) and with their comments and cheerfulness made our short stay even better.
Hotel is not far from beach and town centre.
p.s.: sea water in Rabac is absolutely one of the cleanest we've ever seen!
Bad experience
MTCTDTMon 01/03/2017 19:17We booked hotel Miramare directly with hotel, paid and got confirmation. When we came we were told that they are full (???!!!???!!) and they relocated us to hotel Allegro. This was normal for them, nothing strange,no specific explaining or apology. We were very dissapointed and shocked because of unprofessional behaviour of Valamar reservation centre. We booked hotel Miramare because we knew they have better food. At hotel Allegro we were in superior sea view room. It also looked at pool and was very loud. Room itself was very nice but bathroom could be cleaner and without someone's hairs.
So "restarurant"-way too small for so many people. We had to book at reception at what time we are going to eat. Probably they do this to control that everyone doesn't eat at the same time but no use. We always saw at first hour full restaurant and second only few people. You had to wait in line to get food (terrible feeling) and of course there wasn't enough food for everyone so you had to wait. Food was very poor quality, nothing that you would know that you are in Istra which has so many fantastic tipical meals. Never again.
Another excellent experience in one of the Valamar hotels
Aleksandar Jon 18/07/2016 12:40It is a pleasure to meet a professional in some business. This is the feeling you have when you meet the staff of the Valamar Allegro and Valamar Miramar hotels. These two hotels are located side by side, sharing the some facilities, like Maro club for instance. I have pleasure to spend some time two years ago in Miramar hotel and this year I choose Allegro because of All Inclusive offer that this hotel has.
I was thrilled, two years ago, and this year too. Girls from Maro club were extremely caring and attentive to my daughter, she had a wonderful holiday thanks to them.
Also, I would like o mention Mr. Mirsad restaurant manager at the Allegro hotel, thanks to him each meal was real pleasure for us.
Mrs. Sandra waitress from the Miramar hotel has enabled us beautiful moments in the bar of this hotel, both times we stayed in Rabac.
Deliberately I don't want to write about hotel facilities, you can see it in the photos, but these wonderful people are the true value of these hotels.
Average
Annie_Butterflyon 14/07/2016 14:21I stayed in this hotel with my family in July.
The rooms are very small, especially if you have a child sleeping on the couch. Rooms have AC but no fan or screens on windows so one has to sleep with the ac on which is huge waste of energy i think.
The stuff tries hard to be nice to the guests, but i think they are trying too hard and the result is this fake cordiality and when sth goes wrong they become very hostile. The nicest ppl were the waiters... working hard and always helpful.
The food is average. If you are diabetic or have allergies or following a certain diet, you won't survive here. No sugarfree foods nor beverages, milk free foods (we would appreciate at least a dessert for the kid since we let the hotel know before our arrival that we have a son with allergies) hard to find. Personally i d also appreciate a bigger choice of cooked/ grilled veggies since there s usually just one type. Also for breakfast there should be a bigger choice of cereal and healthy foods, also sugar free jams, yogurts etc.
The tables are very narrow and there are too many of them so one can't push a chair back without hitting the person sitting behind. Sometimes you have to dine with strangers because of the large tables put together.
Also the lamps above the tables should be fixed. Generally speaking i think this hotel has to go through some maintenance.
There s one or two tiny beaches downhill from the hotel, but mostly people lay on cemented surfaces. The larger beaches, probably 20 metres long are of a 10-20 min walk but are all full of beds that you have to pay. One can also take a small train for the beaches but it s about 15 kunas per person each way.
