NOT A FOUR STAR HOTEL
Barbara2110on 01/08/2017 14:29We, a couple, unfortunately spent four nights cramped into Room 11 which should be let as a single room and not as a doulbe room. One had to double over to get to the one side of the bed!! The towels were old and broken, there was nothing on the hospitality tray, the towel rail was broken and lying on the floor and the airconditioning hardly worked. An unfortunate experience
Very walkable city, and beautiful! The Allegro Hotel was well located at the edge of the old town with easy access.
Ron Oon 22/07/2017 21:47Friendly and helpful staff. The front desk staff knew our needs and treated us like we were unique guests (which we certainly were not). The room was very well appointed with a small balcony on a courtyard. Everything except the towels was first class. Rough and damaged towels seems to be a recurring theme, not just at Allegro Hotel. The location was perfect, at the quiet end of the old town, but close enough to other areas to easily walk everywhere.
Good little hotel
on 13/07/2017 10:51We stayed here for 3 nights to visit Ljubljana. We had a superior double room, which included a small balcony.
On arrival at the hotel we were given a nice little shot of cherry brandy which we liked.
An older, traditional hotel, it perhaps lacked some of the mod cons of newer hotels. For example, the air con was quite poor. However, the wifi was good.
The buffet breakfast was very moderate. Not a great deal of choice. Just about adequate.
The location of the hotel is excellent, being just a couple of minutes walk to the nice restaurants in the old town.
The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful.
A good alternative to staying in a bigger, corporate hotel.
A real gem,lives up to its Italian translation!
maeve910on 10/07/2017 08:59Location superb,all old town charm and action on doorstep,room cosy,breakfast delightful and varied menu,staff beyond helpful,especially Luka.I'm already set for return stay.Very convenient 9euro pick up for airport with Go Opti can be booked at reception.
Great very small hotel
Larry Mon 29/06/2017 18:00We visited Ljubljana ,Slovenia in June of 2016 & decided to return this year. During our visit last year, we toured Allegro & decided to stay there this year . We made a good decision !
The staff is attentive,helpful, & speak excellent English . The room are spacious & well appointed;we even had a balcony with 2 chairs & a table over looking the courtyard . At a price of 150 Euros per night with breakfast included the hotel is a bargain...we even had the use of 2 of the hotel bikes for a day ;Ljubljana is a great city for biking.
We will definitely stay at Allegro again.
