Not too bad, could be better...

Not too bad. Close to Fort Leonard Wood. Rooms are a lot smaller than I expected, but they are okay. Beds are comfortable. Honestly, they shouldn't even offer breakfast, their breakfast was a huge disappointment. My husband and I travel through this area a lot with our 2-year-old son- and all they had to offer was donuts and other bread products for breakfast....I'm not feeding my 2-year-old a bunch of sugar for breakfast.

Great stay!!

We had called to make reservations on the way to our son's graduation at the Fort Leonard Wood army base after we found out our other reservation had been cancelled, and we are so happy we chose Alliance Inn and Suites. The staff was absolutely incredible and super friendly. The hotel has a very warm feel and the convenience store they had was great! Would definitely recommend this place, especially for the location to the base and the pricing!

This Ain't No Microtel

The Alliance Inn and Suites, just south of IH-44 at the Waynesville US-66 Exit, was a very pleasant surprise. Privately owned, this former Microtel was MUCH MORE PLEASANT (beautifully furnished common areas) and provided a BETTER BREAKFAST than any Microtel in which I've stayed! Couple all of that with a pleasant staff and a very good room rate and you have a hidden treasure right there in central Missouri!

Short trip to MO

Stayed here for three nights in August. The hotel is a little old but clean with a very nice staff. We chose it for its location to the Army base. I would stay here again if I ever had to return to MO.

Would stay again only if nothing else was available

We stayed here overnight as a last minute stop. We should have kept driving. This hotel is way, way over priced for what you get. We called to make sure they had a room. Yes. We got to the room (late at night) and the door to the lobby is locked. Fine. But no one is there at the reception area. We call. You can hear the phone ringing but no one answers. I poke my face through the little hole in the window and holler "hello" to no avail. Finely a a very unprofessional "receptionist" shows up, followed by another female lugging 3 children with her, and finally lets us in. Not a good start. My biggest complaint is about the beds. Wow. My bed had about a 4" difference in height from the head of the bed to the center, and then back to the foot of the bed. In other words, it would be great for a hunchback. My son's bed was the same way, only left to right. Brutal. And to make matters worse, the mattress (I use that term loosely) sat on a box. Not a box springs. A box. The pillows were more like thick cardboard. No blow dryer was provided. At the complimentary so-called breakfast bar, well, I should have passed. I had what I have to assume was a day old bagel. There was bread. Some really nasty looking muffins. Some cereal. And that was about it. Yummy. The only way I would stay at this location again is if every other hotel in the area was booked up and I was too tired to drive to the next town.
