Bavarian experience. Very lovely
Alexis Jon 25/09/2015 18:19We booked this hotel for Oktoberfest mainly because of the Bavarian authentic feel. The room was clean. And had everything we needed. The restaurant was just want we expected from the pictures. The staff was friendly. Spoke little English. The breakfast was not worth the 10 euro. However there is a young blonde lady who makes excellent coffee. We had dinner one night and the food was excellent as well. We never got our change back after paying the bill, so I guess she assumed we were tipping her 10 euro. But couldn't complain. Very happy with our stay and would like to come back in the future.

BuzDotson 16/09/2014 19:34Can't make any comment about the hotel, but the restaurant attached is authentic Bavarian. Excellent menu (also in English) with a gracious selection of vegetarian and seafood dishes.
Even if you don't stay here - eat here!
Perfect Choice
Scots_Firemanon 03/06/2013 09:45Travelling from Bosnia to Holland, we decided to look for a hotel on the outskirts of Munich. Came across hotel by chance. Rooms only 89 euros and the food downstairs in restaraunt was superb. We ended up with suite which had a balcony and piano in our room. Will definitely stay again.
Very nice, almost a family
Enrico_Lupoon 24/01/2013 18:21I spent 3 days at Almwirt and really I feel very good. Comfortable and clean rooms, pretty good restaurant and service. By my advice, it's a good place to stay for visit Munich (especially if you like to use public transport).
Hotel Almwirt--Bavarian Experience
Michele Bon 22/04/2012 22:55this was the perfect choice! Although it was built 15 years ago, it was made to look old and authentically Bavarian inside. The restaurant service was high class with extremely friendly service...Niko sat down with me to chat and the food was not lacking--each plate very plentiful! The front desk and cleaning service was amazing as well. Sabrina was adorable and couldn't speak more highly of her as I wanted to wash a few articles of clothing near by and she insisted on taking them and doing them in the hotel. After I came back from my conference, I found my clothes, washed and hanging back in my room....no charge! Breakfast was provided from 7am-10am and was limited but had cereal, some cold meats, cheese, and lots of pretzels and breads with butter and jams. The coffee was good as well.
I highly recommend this hotel as it's not far from Munich (easily navigated by the S Bahn) and lots of shops within walking distance...in fact, a car was not needed at all! Oh, and the beds were super comfortable.....this is very subjective as each person is different, but I thoroughly enjoyed them:)
