Nice Holiday

Honey_Bunny54on 20/08/2017 17:21

Travelled as a family of 5, staying in 2 premium rooms for 2 weeks.
Unfortunately I was on crutches but Jet2 and everyone at the hotel did everything they possibly could to make my holiday an enjoyable one.
The road in front of the hotel was under repair while we were there, so coaches could not get near. Jet2 arranged for a taxi transfer which got down the side road and dropped us of about 50m from the hotel entrance. A receptionist, Hans, came out to meet us and help with the luggage. He quickly checked us in and showed me to our room. (Thank you Hans for being so kind). This level of helpfulness was shown by all staff at the hotel during our stay.
ROOMS
Our apartments were in an excellent location overlooking the premium pool (although the pool can be used by anyone), near the juice bar and restaurant. The room was spacious and very clean, lovely white bedding, plenty of towels and good air con, plenty of wardrobe space and hangers.
I found the bed very comfortable, which I was grateful for. As previous reviews mentioned, the hot water in the shower varied from red hot to cold on its own.
Maid service was 5days per week (Weds and Friday off), the beds were changed regularly and towels as requested.
FOOD
All meals had a good choice (although not as wide as at bigger hotels we’ve stayed at) and the quality of the meat here was better than some hotels with higher star rating and it was always cooked to perfection. I have a dairy free diet and there was always plenty for me to choose from and it was replenished quickly.
Sometimes it was difficult to find a table, but the waiters were quick to clean and reset one when requested.
We went to the Italian restaurant twice and the food setting was excellent. (They did seem to struggle a bit when it was full and on our second visit, tables had to be pushed together on arrival).
ENTERTAINMENT
This reflects the size of the hotel, a couple of nights were live music, the rest the animation team did bingo, karaoke etc. The hotel is not far from the centre so you can get out if you are mobile.
SUN BEDS/POOL
We had no real problems, the hotel policy is that if you put your towels out and do not return within 45 minutes they will be removed although we only saw this on one morning during our stay. There is absolutely no reason to run relays at meal times like some families were doing. The life guards were always friendly and polite and above all helpful. A special thanks to Christian for all his help.
It did get very hot around the pool on some days with hardly a breeze, I’m not sure if this was typical or not.
A note to parents of young children, make sure they use the toilet before going in the pool as they had to be closed three times while we were there at great inconvenience to the other guests as well as the hotel staff who have to do the clean up!
Some people complained about the cleanliness around the pool (spilled drinks etc) then complained again when the maids took towels off and tipped the sun beds up to clean at 8 am one morning.

We found the manager available to speak to during the day and he was very approachable and friendly.
On a final note I would recommend this hotel and in the unlikely event of finding a problem, the management and staff are sure to look after you.

Most amazing holiday

on 18/08/2017 13:26

We have just come back from a 2 week holiday at aloe club hotel. The hotel is fantastic.
The staff at the hotel are second to none they are friendly helpful and nothing is too much trouble. They always have a smile on their faces and make you feel very well looked after.
The room was lovely we had a 0ne bed apartment it was spacious and well equipped and had air con. We had a maid service 5 times a week and they were so friendly. The room was always spotless and the sheets and towels changed regularly.
The food was fantastic. There was a huge variety and different themed dinner nights such as Mexican Italian Chinese and canarian. There was always english food, salads, a variety of hot food and an abundance of fruit. The food never ran out as soon as something was running low it was topped up even 10 mins before the restaurant closed. The restaurant has a water filter machine that you can fill bottles of water so there is not much need to buy bottled water. The bar sells water for 1 euro but you can but 2 litre bottles at the market for 26 cents.
The pools were so clean and well looked after and the sun beds had extra mattresses that you could collect when the pools opened for extra comfort.
The animation team are amazing they provide fun games for all ages and are so friendly and helpful and make you feel at ease. The mini club for kids is a must. We we worried at first at leaving our 6yr at the club but they were well looked after and entertained and the hour and 50 mins morning and afternoon leaves you to relax or join in the games knowing the kids are taken care of.
The shop on the site is fantastic and stocks everything you need including clothes, lilos, gifts, sweets, sun cream and toys. The lady who runs the shop is so friendly and a really lovely person who became a friend to us.
Overall the resort is amazing and we recommend it whole heartedly.

Through the hotel you can book a trip to the zoo which is a must if you can stand 2 hours each way on the free bus they provide. However it is worth the trip the zoo is fantastic and far better than any we have previously been to. The shows they put on are so good and included in the price.
There is a free bus to the main beach every morning but if you have small children it's better to go to the town beach at the harbour. The sea is very choppy and the pull of the waves back out is strong and I had a job holding onto our son. The town beaches are perfect as the sea is calm and you can go in without worry.
There is a back entrance to the hotel which cuts off about 10 mins of the walk to the shops. The shops are great and the markets are well stocked. The local supermarkets hyperdino also sell clothes which are cheaper than the shops so worth a look.
We are going back in April for another 2 weeks it's that good.

Lovely Staff

Debbie Fon 14/08/2017 20:32

Just returned from a 2 week all inclusive stay and had a lovely time. The staff are the friendliest and most helpful I have ever come across (this includes 4 and 5 star hotels). The reception staff bent over backwards to find us a room we liked and any niggles with the room (we had a leak in the bathroom and shelves that fell on us in the wardrobe) were sorted out straight away. The bar staff we so friendly especially Jacinto and Lucas. The room was a great size with a separate bedroom and was cleaned 5 out of 7 days.
The hotel itself is clean and set in lovely surroundings but is just a little far out for our liking, but it does overlook the stunning sand dunes. It is 20-30 mins walk into the center of Coralejo which has plenty for everyone from the shops and restaurants to the harbour.
The entertainment at night isn't up to much but we don't go for that as we tend to go out for a walk or sit on the balcony. Would have been nice to watch a couple of shows though.
The food was OK but I always struggle as I'm vegetarian so couldn't say much for the meat dishes except my husband seemed to like them. The desserts were the worst I have ever had but I don't think many all inclusives are that great anyway.
We had a fab day going on the Corralejo Buggies tour and it is well worth the money and experience if you don't mind getting dirty. We went to the water park twice as you can get a 2 day pass and it was pretty good to spend a few hours but don't expect Siam Park!
Overall it was a lovely stay and if I could pick up the hotel and put it nearer to the center I would definitely go back.

Lovely hotel

consisting of 5 adults and 2 children. We went for superior rooms, and were allocated 3 apartments next door to each other. Our apartments were overlooking the main pool. The rooms were originally self catering so had a fridge which was great. Our apartments had seperate bedrooms and were spacious and had large televisions. The only let down was the air conditioning which hardly worked. The food was great, lots of choices and always hot. All the staff were fantastic, the drinks were if good quality. There are 7 pools for adults and children, and have life guards. We went all inclusive and as a premium guest could have some cocktails free. Also smoothes were free from the juice bar. A couple of things not quite good was the italian on site resturant. They cook what you ask for, but don't have a menu so it's confusing. They didn't do spaghetti Bolognese, lasagne or garlic bread etc! So not very good. The road in front of the hotel was being dug up, unfortunately coaches or taxis Can't drop off or collect. On arrival we were dropped round the back streets, with 2 children and all our suitcases which wasn't good! This is a big bad if you have mobility problems. You can get a coach which is free to the beach in the morning, it comes back at lunchtime. We stayed longer and got a cab back, it was only about 3 or 4 euros. Would we go back, no but that's only because, we prefer the beach and shops nearer. We all had a great holiday.

All Inclusive Holiday for my husband & I for his 70th Birthday

Tefernoson 10/08/2017 17:07

This hotel apartment was discussing! The shower broke on the 2nd night. The plumber fixed it next day, together with unblocking plug & resealed the whole unit. The next day the lock broke on the fire door which had to be replaced! Then the toilet flush fell off in my hand at 11.00 pm & we could not get it fixed until the next day which was terrible. Throughout our stay the mattress' were not at their best & had discussing mattress covers on them which were far too small for the beds which made them almost impossible to sleep on. We did ask to be moved to another room. The curtains were also hanging off the rails. The whole thing was a poor show!
