Rooms were lovely, clean, big enough and good shower. Fabulous view from our room with a balcony.
We ate in the hotel too. Good food and great portion sizes.
The owner and his staff are great people. He joined us for an evening drink on the hotel balcony and treated us to a taste of the local schnapps!!
Would have happily stayed longer. Will be returning and intend to use it as a base for day trips.

Nice hotel, very well maintained, clean, large rooms, excellent à la carte restaurant.
Very friendly owner and hotel staff. Recommended for nice and relaxing holidays in the mountains.
Absolute blissful place
RV0681on 07/01/2017 19:37Surrounded by great natural surroundings, amidst lush greenery, stands alphenof. It's a treat to stay here. Quiet, well made wooden finished rooms coupled with lovely aesthatics at reasonable prices, make it an ideal choice in this part of Swiss. I had halted here during a drive from Vienna. It's an awesome location located away from the maddening city. Oberwald by itself is thinly populated and a favored skiing destination. Highly recommended place for budget Travellers
amazing place
thomascaton 21/09/2016 08:38we travelled to switzerland on road trip back in june 2016 we had pre booked hotel through booking .com , manager was great very helpful , also chef was a lovely guy too, the view from our room was Amazing tea and coffee in room which is always a nice touch , food very good we stayed in many hotels on our 3500 mile road trip through 7 countries in 12 days yes we would go back and stay if we are ever down that way again Thank you Hotel Alpenhof 5*****

This hotel was faultless. The rooms were a great size, the place was clean, the food was really nice. They also has a really nice unfiltered beer.
It felt like visiting a second home. Staff were very welcoming.
I'd happily visit again.
