one of the best hotel experiences ever
Kateryna Von 09/08/2017 07:10if you traveling near Munich and wondering where to stay my best recommendation would be try this amazing place. Great service and hotel facilities. Moreover, hotel located in a very lovely location, there are number of things to do. If you traveling by train hotel will organize a transfer for you. Just keep in mind to call them at least 30 min prior to arrival otherwise you would wait at a train station :)
Tasty breakfast with variety of chooses for every gourman. Based on our experience the only minus was very expensive restaurant at the hotel but the food combination does not impressed us at all...
Disappointing "SLH" experience
Germaneagleon 23/07/2017 16:30Being invited by a company to Alpenhof Murnau I was expecting a luxury five star alpine hotel.
What was delivered by the hotel was all in all disappointing and I can't recommend the place.
Half 3 star half 5 star - not SLH standard.
Some notes:
There are different rooms - some with 3star standard, ready for renovation.
Service during BF and lunch is extremely slow.
Fruits - served during breakouts - were not fresh and and not proper washed.
SLH membership status not checked before check in.
Cheap martesses and no cosmetic products ( Spender at the bathroom did not work, a IKEA matres is golden compared to the one offered)
Dinner: good food and good wine selection but for the place overpriced calculation (up to 400%).
Recommend not to stay there.
Beautiful location go to the lake
Bethany Ron 01/07/2017 11:21I loved a lot of things about this hotel but also there are a few things they could fix to actually make it a 5 star hotel. The front desk is very friendly and nice but their English is not great. The bar tender was awesome!! The rooms do not have air conditioning unless your in a sweet so be prepared for that. Although they brought us a fan it was uncomfortably hot and we had to leave windows and doors open. We did not sleep well because it was so hot. This still did not cool down our room! The pool and spa areas were Great and so was breakfast. The bathrooms are poorly outdated. Pink tile and need to be updated. Defiantly go to the lake and rent paddle boards. This was our favorite part about the area. It's gorgeous. Go to the main square area very cute. Love this area of Germany. Not sure if I would stay at this hotel again. If they updated the bathrooms and got air conditioning I would. Parking was easy as well.
Excellent and timely service
tobiaskemperon 27/06/2017 20:46Service and dining experience were excellent. I had multiple occasion at which I was able to enjoy the quality of service and food, including two weddings. My most recent experience was with the friendly front desk staff that helped me with a spa voucher while overseas. Absolutely excellent!
Good hotel
TravelLoverXOXOon 07/05/2017 21:17The hotel itself is quite good, boutique and rooms are decent. I would go back for sure. The only improvement for them to meet international standards is for their staff to be a bit friendlier and more focus on customer service. Otherwise, the location, food and everything is nice, as well as the breakfast buffet. Parking is not free which is disappointing for a hotel of this standard when neighbouring hotels offer free parking, and bike rentals are pricey, which is also disappointing as they could offer a better deal to their international guests who may not have cars and would like to use the bikes to go to the town centre or for the beautiful neighbouring trails. Also, a heads up in case you are not prepared, this hotel is very pet friendly so expect to see guests in the restaurants (Even in the open buffet section) with their pets.
