Trine Lon 23/07/2017 18:46Great food, nice service and amazing view! They have some mean burgers that are well worth eating. The rooms are nice and the food in the restaurant is extraordinary. But it is a plain place and the staf, the view and the food saves the day.
Birthday Trip to Remember !

From reception staff to cleaning staff, all very friendly.
Room was big, clean and the view was perfect, being able to relax on the balcony was enough !
Breakfast, was good, and had a huge variety to choose from, we also ate in the restaurant 2 evenings. The table was decorated for the birthday celebration - thank you ! Only one minor remark, although the food was excellent, the vegetables were on the hard side.
Location is excellent, although a little walk up the hill from Berchtesgaden might be daunting for some with walking difficulty,
Would love to return to BGD again, and would certainly stay at this hotel.

Mountain views from the hotel were stunning.
Room was clean and tidy with Bavarian style décor.
Breakfast buffet was adequate.
Evening meals rotated from buffet style to a choice of 3 meals from a menu.
The evening meals were excellent quality.
Hotel also has a nice pub below it where you can order food.
Hotel provides a free local bus pass which was very useful.
Only negative Wi-Fi was very poor.
Would recommend this hotel.
A friendly atmosphere
Vanessa Bon 03/08/2016 13:53We stayed at the Kronprinz for five nights while exploring the beautiful Berchtesgadener Land. The location is ideal, high enough up the hill to give a good view of the Watzmann range, but nevertheless only five minutes walk from the town centre. We only booked bed and breakfast, as we like to eat out. The breakfast buffet was excellent, providing a good choice of options including Brezel and Weisswurst (the latter on Fridays). Our room was parterre, but spacious with comfortable beds. We did not book a room with a view as we were not intending to spend much time indoors. We did, however, enjoy the view in the Panorama restaurant whilst having breakfast. Parking on the street is limited, so we decided to take advantage of the underground car park. The staff were without exception friendly and helpful. It was possible to buy tickets for the Koenigsee boat trip at reception, which saved us a long wait in the ticket queue. We would definitely recommend the Kronprinz and look forward to staying there again!
Great Hotel
hertawatermanon 25/07/2016 16:04This is a fantastic hotel with views of the famous Warzmann mountain. The dining room overlooking the mountains is absolutely superb. This is our 2nd visit to this hotel ( first visit 1988) and it's even lovelier than the first time. Berchdesgaden is such a lovely town, a must visit for anyone exploring Bavaria.
