Great Rooms and Restaurant
Roland Son 15/08/2017 10:04The Alpenhotel offers great rooms, three buildings connected with each other. Restaurant offering is very good, great breakfast, dinner a la carte and buffet. Also a small menu for lunch. There is also a small but nice spa with inside and outside facilities.

Veronika Kon 11/07/2017 12:15We only ate there, so I can only write about the restaurant. I really expected something better for 4 stars hotel.. ok, breakfast was good, but dinner? Really nothing special, overpriced, and very unfriendly strange staff , with strange remarks..dont waste your money!
Great values for money
Bruce Fon 13/01/2017 07:27Hotel lies on the side of a mountain with outlook over the village. Personel are very friendly. The hotel is styled in the classic Bavaria style. Restaurant is very good. Certainly worth a repeat visit.
perfect for seminars and company retreats
SSchaerreron 08/09/2016 17:41we stayed over four days and only experienced positive! from reception to housekeeping, laundry and the restaurant, they give you their best! we expected 4 star service and got 5+. specially on a tight company budget, this is a real gem for seminars and trainings.
Fantastic nature & spa holiday, no car needed!
Traveler_Helsinki_44on 12/07/2016 21:50We spent 2 days in this hotel and were absolutely happy with our choice. We traveled by train and the accommodation includes transport from and to station with no additional cost. This was very convenient!
The next day we went walking in the mountains. The hotel shuttle car cost only 10 eur total to take our family to a bergbahn station - very good service and useful for us with no car available.
The public transport is surprisingly frequent. we took the bus to the hotel from Oberstdorf - only about 5 eur for the whole family, and about 20 mins from city centre to Alpenhotel.
We preferred staying a bit further from Oberstdorf,and the hotel location was ideally within short reach from key attractions. Even without a car! I can really recommend this hotel, also for this reason.
All staff was very friendly and helpful. We had great advice for our trips from the reception. A cute detail was the "Morning post" leaflet in the breakfast tables, very cosy (only in German).
With out 6-year-old son, we did a walking tour to the impressive Breitachklamm from the hotel! (Also, the bus connections would have been very convenient too, but walking was ok too.)
We were also happy to find out the possibility to rent bikes from the hotel (this we however didn't use this time).
The spa and sauna were very nice, also jacuzzi outside. Clean, beautiful. Great views. Three types of saunas, good quality. Swimming area not big, but sufficient for relaxing after the hiking.
We had booked "halbpension" for 25e/adult, which was a great decision! The dinners were plentiful and delicious. Waiting staff were fun and efficient.
Also breakfast was delicious and had wide variety.
Our room was fantastic, with separate bedrooms for us parents and our child, and additionally a small living room. The toilets and showers were clean and pretty. Our balcony was spacious and gave a wonderful view to the Alps. Really happy with the accommodation.
We hope to return some day!
