Rooms are good and clean. Feels like house. Location is near to the main roan and all the shops are nearby. One can comfortably stay for a small stay. The staff are friendly and talk politely. one can choose this place for a short stay.

Avoid this place !

Went here for a short stay during a work trip. No cleanliness and rude staff. The lenin had stains. If at all you are going ask for the first floor rooms. The place is not worth the price. Avoid going with family

Service apartment

Begumpet is very much familiar to me in lot of aspects including stay and food courts . This is first stay in this new year and I have been to alpine more than 6 -7 times directly also through Cleartrip and oyo recently . I have not found any major value addition done by the aggregator other than online payment . The rooms are very much normal and not so good . Room service is a major concern area in all these service apartments . The phones does not work to call the reception and I called the landline directly from my mobile for food order . The breakfast has not changed for the past 3 years and I was getting same Kichadi and ootappam absolutely the breakfast sucks nor we have good dining table to sit and eat . If you really want to spend very less money in your stay and not really bothered about comfort , service and ambience this is okay for those kind . Not a place of big choice for people with higher expectations . Oyo has to seriously review in the infra and room service . Small money average stay that is all . Room infra not bad but not mood puller . It is just like your home nothing more . The location is also in the residential area not with big ambience so don't come with lot of expectations .

Average, inexpensive place to stay

I spent three nights here while in Begumpet. It's a pretty typical residence style Indian hotel. Perfectly fine, a little dumpy, like every hotel in this class.

The area is very cool, very funky, very India. This was my second day in the country and I really was not prepared for how things looked. I'll just leave it at that. It took some getting used to, as they say.

Westerners rarely come here, but they should. There is a vibrant nightlife on the streets. I had plenty of street food and did not get sick. The Paradise hotel, which is truly world famous for it's Biryani, is a 10-minute walk from the Alpine Glow. Highly recommended, very nice restaurant.

Regarding the hotel:

On the plus side, the room was clean. The A/C worked. The bathroom had hot and cold water. It was on a quiet and safe street. The people who ran the place were very nice and accommodating.

On the down side, I never did get the internet to work. They say they have it. I saw a router in the common area to where my room opened up; tried to troubleshoot a few things, but no luck. I asked the front desk about it. They seemed unsurprised but genuinely sorry for the inconvenience.

India is just a very problematic place in terms of getting reliable Wi-Fi. Depends on the neighborhood. If you are at a 4+ star hotel in a major city near the airport, you'll have no problems. If you are in a "suburb" of a major city at a $25 a night residency hotel, good luck.

Even the power went out once a day (in the whole neighborhood) while I was there - it always came back on fairly quickly, but that tells you something about why there was no internet.

On the note of the power going out: the elevator at the Alpine Glow, like most elevators in India, is the size of a phone booth. Take the stairs people.

ALWAYS TAKE THE STAIRS.

On my way to check out, I had my luggage with me and thought "I'll take the elevator this one time". Then I decided against it because, well, just in case, you know?

Sure enough, while walking down the stairs, the power went out.

Getting stuck in that elevator during a power outage in 100 degree heat with three other people would be a hell I would not wish on anyone.

In all, would I go back? Well, in general, if I return to India, I will not stay at places like this. But for what it is, it's fine for a short stay. It hits all the basics: clean bed, safe area, friendly proprietors, A/C works, has hot & cold running water, off the main busy (very noisy) street, yet close enough so that there are plenty of places nearby to get provisions and catch a rickshaw.

Nice and pleasant stay

I was there for 15 days stay on official trip. All the staff and manager are very nice and helpful. They serve and care and make you feel like you are at home. I enjoyed my stay and wish them good luck and thanks for their hospitality.
