Time warp
1466martinon 20/07/2017 17:41This is a funky lodge! The hotel is by skiers for skiers! When you walk through the doors you will feel like you stepped back in time to the 50's. That time warp is on purpose.
The rooms are small and clean...they don't have a lot of extras. Think small. It's very common practice to see row after row of ski boots outside each room in the hallway every night.
People stay here because they ski and ski hard. Conversation at the communal dinning tables will be about skiing, what runs to ski and the weather (will it snow, when and how deep will the powder be).
They have an amazing pool that's heated and worth a dip to sooth your tired muscles after shredding the powder. The steam room works equally well.
Be sure to hit the bar where there is often live music. It's loud and rowdy but empties out by about 10. This is because everyone goes to bed early in this hotel (gotta get up very early for first chair in the morning)!

JulianG3on 04/07/2017 13:36Patrick is the Manager and attends to every detail. The experience could not have been better. The snow also cooperated as there were outstanding conditions first week of January 2017. Like a big family.

ricksQ8483ITon 27/04/2017 03:31Great service, food, pool, TV., upstairs Bar, people were great, can get to bed early, get ready for next day, new Lockers, same Locker# as your room, so no one gets confuse, shuttle to the slope was very quick, some time I took it, sometimes not.
Great Place to Stay in Alta
A8710TXcatherinemon 19/04/2017 20:21The Alta Peruvian is an excellent hotel to stay in when skiing in Alta!!! My teenagers and I loved the pool, food, and amazing service. We also enjoyed the afternoon snacks and large television. We will definitely stay at the hotel again in the near future.

christieb298on 18/04/2017 22:00The lodge is fabulous. Alta is the best. The old European feel of the lodge is quaint and perfect. Very cozy beds. All around perfect weekend. we loved the warm pool and hot tubs. Only problem was that we never woke up in time to catch breakfast, which ended at 9.
