A very good ski-in ski-out hotel
Daniel Kon 02/08/2017 11:41Very good hotel, great breakfast and amazing rooms. In addition there is a very professional ski (and snowboard) gear renting shop, from which you can get directly to the slops. I came with my family to a ski vacation in Altapura and we had a great experience with the hotel.

key23suffolkon 18/05/2017 17:04We drove to Hotel Altapura which we had booked on line and we were not disappointed. Our Deluxe double room on the third floor was spacious, and so was the bathroom which had twin basins, a separate bath and shower and very clean! Room service was good and the main buffet restaurant served a huge variety of food each evening. We also ate in La Laiterie the fondue and raclette restaurant which was very good. Julian in the ski shop was fabulous - helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble! It is a ski-in, ski-out hotel although the run back to the hotel was quite cut up in the afternoons and not easy for beginners to negotiate. The hotel is ideally situated close to the lifts and the shuttle service into town was excellent. The spa was lovely and the pool warm! All the staff throughout the hotel were super friendly and extremely helpful. The only criticism is that we would have like more live music in the evenings - we only had two evenings of live entertainment. All in all, a fabulous week and we would definitely return.
Clearly the Nicest Place in Val Thorens with World Class Service

We've been around the world and never sensed a service team - from cleaners to servers to kids' club - all of whom with lovely personalities and attention to detail. To top it off, the restaurant is superb for breakfast and dinner; we also dined twice at Les Enfant Terribles - the in-house fine dining restaurant which was spectacular. The gym, pool and spa areas are awesome and the kids club terrific. If we had to find a complaint, it would be that the lunch menu is not as expansive as one might hope. But that's nit-picking in one of our all time favorite places!
Luxury but at a huge cost and far from perfect.

The service is amazing, nothing is too much trouble in every department.
Breakfast is Ok not outstanding
Dinner superb.
Major design flaw in hotel is that rooms have no balconies which is a 100% must for ski ing holidays in my opinion.
Gin & Tonic €18 and €9 a beer make the drinking experience quite a cost.
Overall for the money I'd go elsewhere.

the welcome was very efficient the ski room well equipped the lockers small if you are snowboarding no place in locker for two snowboards the problem is with the buffet diner or lunch the selection was poor not so good warmed badly and the price very expensive $$$ the room is good overall the hotel is good but avoid the traps
