Five star experience

Book one of the three or four rooms in the annex which was completed this past January!
This is a better experience than I have had recently in a hotel billed as a four star.
Room 1 in the annex is a perfect, spacious oasis of calm where you will have complete privacy and spend a truly restful night or nights in peaceful sleep.
You enter the room to a small entry hall with the,spacious bathroom with generous shower stall to the left.Past this is the bedroom with a small very well lit desk/reading corner, a double door clothing and shoe closet and the comfy bed. Everything is white and grey and so spotless it seems to have been built just for your visit. There is tv and wifi and the hotel restaurant is steps away.
Service is personal and friendly, staff makes it known that they are willing to go out of their way to make your stay the very best.
The breakfast buffet is not included in the room price but is well worth the additional fee for freshly scrambled to order eggs. At least four kinds of juices, several yogurts
as well as assorted meats and cheeses and sliced vegetables are included in the buffet as well as a selection of breads and sweet rolls. Coffee and tea are piping hot and service is cheerful.
Treat yourself to a beer on the back patio at sunset and watch the local crews as they row up and down the river,or the local teens in paddle boats. If nothing else, enjoy a beautiful summer sunset.

Very quiet, pleasant and comfortable stay. VERY CLEAN which is most important to me. Building has a lot of character and very good restaurant on first floor making it very convenient. Delicious breakfast buffet. Staff very friendly and efficient.

Nice place 20 minutes walk from city centre

Nice hotel, breakfast, room, view, bed, bathroom, location, everything was nice and clean, staff was alright too. the horrible wificonnection was the only drawback, in my room it was almost impossible to use, and even in the breakfastroom/restaurant i was thrown out every five minutes, and had to log in with password and username every time (is that really necessary?) but: really nice place, fix your wifi-issues and it will be perfect!

I chose this hotel for typical German cooking and hospitality and I was certainly not disappointed.

Copious portions of well cooked delicious food at a very modest price.

Rooms spotless and beds very comfortable. Windows with electric shutters.

Would definitely recommend to others

A very pleasant surprise

I travel a great deal on business and I am usually wary of cheap hotels. The Eishaus was a very pleasant surprise. Despite being lower cost than my usual hotels it was very clean and comfortable. The room had a balcony overlooking the river. Sitting in the sun all I could hear was birdsong and not traffic. The breakfast was varied enough for me to find something I liked. A must is to eat in the restaurant. Following the waitress advise I skipped the starter ands went for one of the house specials. It was great, well presented and tasty.
I have added this hotel to my list of places to stay when in Giessen
