We stayed at this wonderful hotel from 14 - 29th August 2017 and it was absolutely brilliant. From the moment we got dropped off until the time we left it can honestly say we enjoyed absolutely everything.

The reception staff = Brilliant
Accommodation = Brilliant
Food and restaurant staff = Brilliant
Rooms and cleaning staff = Brilliant
Bar staff = Brilliant
Pool area and entertainment staff = Brilliant

I can not recommend this hotel highly enough, we requested a ground floor room for my father before we arrived and we're given it. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone at this hotel. Well done Althea Village, we will recommend you to everyone x

Excellent holiday

The hotel is great, very modern, rooms look like they've been recently renovated. I've never met such an energetic animation team, with their charisma they could make anyone join the aqua fit. Unfortunately, I don't remember the girls name, but on Thursday evening's you can enjoy outstanding live music. Beautiful songs by a girl with amazing voice and accompanied by a great piano player. I wish there were more attractions like that.
Everyone in the hotel is nice, at some point you just feel like you're surrounded with your friends. Even during breakfast the staff would smile to you and exchange a few sentences.
When it comes to the food - it was fresh and tasty. Tzatziki and Gyros were my favourite. Great desserts too. The only thing I could point out to the management are waffles and pancakes for breakfast. There was only one member of staff making them, thus usually you had to wait in a queue to get them, which discouraged many people. Maybe you could have one more person doing them, to avoid the queues?
The hotel is situated quite far from the sea, it's in the walking distance, but walking in that heat isn't something nice. However, the hotel has two great swimming pools, so if you're lazy like me - that's not a problem at all. What I highly recommend to everyone is to take a bus to Chania - the hotel is really close to the bus stop and the city, the tickets are cheap.
All in all, I'd like to thank to all the people that make this hotel such a great place. I highly recommend it as this a perfect place to get some rest and forget about your problems and work ;)

Good service and an amazing animation team!

Althea Village had all that our Family wanted in our vacation; clean rooms and pool area, sun every day, good Food, nice activities and an amazing animation team! Svenn, Arian, Michelle and Justine where friendly and funny to the kids, they had a LOT of energy, played good music and had great competitions and shows in the evening.

Lovely hotel

We travelled as a family of 3 in July. We stayed in a suite which was lovely and spacious, the air con was great and well needed. Our room was close to the restaurant and pool and we had a lovely view over the entertainment. The room was lovely and clean and great toiletries. The food is lovely, great choice and quality, sometimes the queue does get quite large.
The pools are lovely and warm although you cannot start swimming until 10am which seems a little bit late in the heat.
The entertainment team where great with the children especially the mini disco, our daughter really enjoyed the evenings.
The area itself is not great, you can walk down to a very busy road with a few supermarkets and pharmacy but not much else. You can get a bus or taxi though into the old town.
We would definitely recommend this hotel we had a lovely stay.

Staff quite friendly, rooms nice, location ok . Cleaning really excellent. Food was poor. This is our 3.time in Crete and really waited good cretan food but this time it was big disappointment. Salads, olives+ other ingredients were not so fresh. Every day same food and nit so tasty. We have been in Greece every summer and this hotel offered the worst quality of food.
