Aircondioning and Free Parking

We stayed here twice on our trip to central Chile and Patagonia. They are apartments in an apartment building.Great location just a five minute walk to the Tobalabra metro station. There is a convenience store one block down the street. Most importantly there is free parking and air conditioning. An absolute necessity for summer in Santiago with a rental car. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and made restaurant reservations for us and called for a taxi to the airport. It is a safe and clean neighborhood. The rooms are clean,comfortable but not fancy. Breakfast was not fancy but in line with the price for the lodging. Overall this accommodation is a good value.

Apartment in Las Condes

The apartment is in Las Condes. It is in a beautiful neighborhood. I remember the sttaf as the best part of the stay. hey had a great attitude and were happy to assist me with my needs. They help me with my luggage and the taxi to airport.
The rooms are very comfortable, clean and very modern. The breaksfast was poor. I would certainly stay there again.

Perfect for our needs

What a great find for our family of five (including three teenage boys) in a great spot in this wonderful city. We had a large unit that served our purposes perfectly and the staff were very helpful and spoke perfect English. Nothing was a hassle. Would definitely stay here again

Inexpensive and well located

Clean single bedroon apartment in Las Condes. Kitchen, dining, living room and bedroom. Comfortable but needs better lighting throughout. Continental breakfast was very basic yet sufficient. Small convenience store on corner has basic groceries if needed. Hot water for shower is an issue and almost non-existent. If you need a 10-15 minute hot shower daily, this will not work for you. It is similar to a military shower, 2 minutes, turn off, wait, then turn back on and waut for an additional 2 minutes of hot water. Location in Las Conddes is excellent with restaurants and shops very near. Building itself is a little tired and dark.

Everything Stolen from my hotel room

In August 2012 I had everything STOLEN from inside my hotel room at Altocastello Apart Hotel, computer, camera, ski equipment. It is not the first time I have heard of theft at this hotel. I have been coming to Santiago for 10 years on business and this is the only hotel I have had problems with theft. In addition their service is very poor and the owners are not good people. Breakfasts are slices of white wonder bread, the hot water is very inconsistent, often the front desk makes mistakes with their reservations, and the rooms are in need of an upgrade. Also because there are apartments within the hotel it can often be very loud with throughout the week with parties. Although in a good location there are several other hotels on the same block with cleaner rooms, better service and proper security. Business Travelers BEWARE of Alto Castello!!!!!!!
