Not easy to find / no AC!
Boris Won 19/08/2017 15:25Our GPS (2017 rental car) took us to a 'fussgaenger' zone - so we had to walk to the hotel to find out how to drive there. They were a bit 'in your face' about not having reserved parking in advance - which I didn't care about with nearby lots - just a bit aggressive about it. The room was OK only, and with 80 degrees and no A/C it's just uncomfortable. The breakfast was awesome - but I'd look elsewhere.
It has seen better days

The Service changed and Food was substandard. On top of this the usual price hike. It will take some time to go back.
A good place to stay in the old town
GSK11on 05/08/2017 09:54The hotel has an excellent location, right in the centre of the old town, near to attractions and restaurants. From the railway station, it is less than 10 minutes' walk--no problem. The hotel has a compound for car parking on site.
We booked a Deluxe Double room, which was expensive but large. The bed was fine, including decent pillows. (The double bed had two single quilts instead of one larger one, but that is common in Germany & Austria.) The room had shutters, which kept everything nice & dark at night. The bathroom was fine--everything worked. It had soap/shampoo in sachets, which we didn't bother with; we bought our own soap. Our room was out the back; some minor, temporary noise from people in the compound, but nothing much. Wi-Fi was free and reasonable, if a little slow at times.
The hotel has an excellent restaurant that offers excellent fish meals, including delicious pike. We ate there both nights. Breakfasts were also very good: plenty of cold selections & boiled eggs, and reasonable coffee.
The hotel provides you with the Fussen Card, which gives you discounts and free bus travel to the famous castles nearby.
The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. We would be happy to stay there again.
Friendly welcome in a central location
Fiona Ron 22/06/2017 20:49We stayed a week in this friendly and comfortable hotel. It is a two minute walk from the centre of the old town, so very convenient. Good breakfast and reception staff helped us to plan our hiking trips. Rooms were spotless and although it is very central it is also nice and quiet. The hotel restaurant is good if you don't want to venture too far for dinner.
Right In Old Town
Zachary Bon 16/06/2017 19:07Great location in old town and a 6 minute walk to/from the train station. Friendly staff and nice to have a free breakfast. Hotel staff held our bags after checkout as we went and toured the castles before our late train ride.
