Beautiful Surroundings
CJones900on 29/08/2017 19:13It was a hotel that looks exactly like the photographs. Positioned off the main street it is a quiet oasis with a stunning view from the restaurant/pool. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant service and food was good. Good sized room with good wi-fi, complimentary drinks for a 5-6pm happy hour and a great place to relax for a couple of days. A highlight of a long road trip.
Beautiful location with comfortable accommodations
fxc3on 27/08/2017 17:17The location is amazing - right in the middle of everything in Sedona, but you do have to walk up a steep hill if you want to get to the main street. They have a great shuttle that will take you anywhere a mile away and that is pretty much the main parts of Sedona. Its great!
The staff is really friendly and helpful.
The spa is pretty nice - got a 90 minute deep tissue and it was one of the best massages. The steam room was also nice, albeit a little small - thought there could be some plunge pools or cold rooms.
The pool is very small - the site has some really great pictures, but its pretty shallow and small.
The restaurant downstairs is ok too - the food isn't mindblowing, but it is pretty decent. The wait staff was really great with everyone's food allergies.
Gym is really small with two treadmills, some free weights, and a universal machine - but you can get some exercise outside with hikes.
I had a really great time here - decent rooms, bathroom was clean, staff was really nice and helpful and Sedona in general is really pretty.

saranyawon 26/08/2017 00:00This is one of the top 3 resorts I would stay in Sedona. Price is right for the view and amenities. Great service. The pool and hot tub with amazing red rock view. Highly recommend! On a pricey side, but if you are in Sedona and able to spend a few more bucks, DO IT!!!
Nice hotel but..
TheFarahsAdventureson 25/08/2017 16:33The hotel is very nice and does give off a luxury feel upon entering, however like most sedona hotels it is pet friendly. I wouldn't mind this so much if the hallways in the various buildings didn't smell like wet dog. This ruined the experience for myself and my husband.
The front desk staff was amazing and very helpful, the valet was always very friendly and the pool views were stunning.. but we couldn't get passed that smell. It was a little unfortunate because each time we walked thru to get to our room we were literally holding our noses! I have nothing against pets, but would rather not feel like I'm with them during a vacation hotel stay when I don't live with them at home.
Sedona AZ at the Amara Resort
fonda2000on 24/08/2017 19:45We spent a week in Sedona in August at the Amara Resort. The room was good, Cable TV good. Free fast WiFi, friendly staff. Amara offers free coffee and tea every morning - no pastry :( and free wine every late afternoon. The "backyard" view of the hotel consists of an outside restaurant, an area for lounging and a swimming pool...all with a fantastic view of Sedona's natural beauty and red rock mountains. As a bonus, the hotel is conveniently located to most of Sedona's shops and restaurants (walking distance), additionally, they offer free rides to areas within a just-under 2 mile distance. We used this free ride offer to have the hotel take us to Marg's Trail (for a 2-hour hike) and also to the Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village, among other trips. You tell the front desk and the car is available in 5 minutes or less. Overall happy with our experience at Amara.
