Elegant, welcoming and helpful staff, with stunning touches of art deco design throughout the hotel! The brass elevator doors and classic postal box, the stylized wall sconces, and the stained glass on several doors brought such a sense of high style to this hotel. Our room was well-designed too, and we enjoyed the lounge for both a fun happy hour and lovely brunch. Wonderful place to stay in Milwaukee! Parking is available and it was easy for us to get all around the city.

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms and comfortable and well appointed, the staff is very friendly and the parking is great. The Envoy lounge was closed for renovation while I was there, but I have been told that the food and cocktail hour are fantastic.

The bed was comfortable and the room was enormous. There was some suspicious staining on the ceiling, blood, spaghetti sauce...who knows. You could tell the building was old but the rooms were nicely remodeled. The downfall was that the hotel is not in the best part of town and there was no onsite vending and it was not safe to walk alone in search of snacks if you don't want to go to the hotel bar. Parking was easy to manage and housekeeping was great. Bath amenities were fantastic and the TV was top of the line. The elevators took a minute to get used to...the doors opened like a real door...pull on the handle and the door opens....This property was oddly reminiscent of The Shining...
Overall, this would be a great place for adults to stay but I don't know if I would chose it for a family stay, there is no pool.

Staff and rooms were great. Beds were comfortable. In spite of some remodeling, it was a quiet place to stay. Not within walking distance of any desirable attractions, but a good place to stay if you plan to drive around Milwaukee.

The premises and the 2 rooms we rented all smelled of "Old Motel". The carpet, wallpaper, doors, locks, elevator, furniture, workout equipment and appliances were all at least a decade or two old. Service was adequate. Personnel @ the front desk sat the entire time while talking to or assisting guests. The bathtub/shower had mold in nearly all of its corners. The doors to the hallways squeak loudly upon every use, then slam shut when closing. Some of the info sent to us by the Ambassador Inn before and after our stay, actually show pictures from the Hotel across the street! The Ambassador Hotel. We were informed by one of the sitting front desk staff, that they are both under same management. This was not an enjoyable stay. 2 filthy rooms on a Sunday nite (not crowded at all) cost Nearly $450! Our company will not be back. I'd be surprised to hear back from them.
