Great service, nice facility, below average furniture/furnishings

We stayed at this hotel/facility in December 2016 for 3 nights. The overall service provided by the staff is very good. The common dining area is large and clean. We were quite pleased by the quality of breakfast, lunch and dinner provided. The room/suite is large and can easily accommodate 4-5 people. Since this is a small facility (7 rooms) run by a staff of 5-10, the staff is very caring and the environment is homely. Room service is great - beverages, tea, coffee, meals were sent to the room at no extra cost.

While the overall facility is bright, airy and clean, there are a few things that could be significantly improved. The furniture and furnishings are very-very old (1970's?). The bed sheets, towels, etc. are totally worn out. Mattress and pillows are not comfortable. There was no house keeping done to our room during our stay.

The facility is located a 2-4 km away from the old city and major tourist spots. As a result, it is located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. We were able to get autos as well as Uber taxis without a problem for transportation.

Very good experiance at this hotel.very good staff.you will feel like home.we went there before three hour but they managed everything and give room as early as possible.good hospitality and room service.you will relax here.realy good people and staff.

A great small Boutique Hotel in Udaipur .

Friendly and hospitable staff in this contemporary boutique hotel make this a great place to stay in Udaipur. I arrived with no booking and found most recommended places fully booked. Ambavgarh was recommended for my 2 night stay by a colleague of my driver.
My ground floor room was large as was the bathroom. The hotel has only 7 rooms
All essentials were provided, the bed was comfortable and the staff made every effort to provide for every request.
Views to the city and lake were spectacular and the hotel is close to all amenities yet quiet and peaceful.
I will certainly return here when next I visit Udaipur.

I went to Udaipur with my family and had prior booking in Ambavgarh Retreat. I must say I was glad that I chose it for our stay.The location is so peaceful and close to many tourist destinations as well. The staff is quite friendly and their service is excellent. They would make sure to serve you their best food. The WiFi connection works well. Overall it was a fabulous experience.

Perfect Location & Wonderful Hospitality

Ambavgarh Retreat is a Wonderful place to stay in Udaipur as it's close to all the Major attractions in the City. Fateh Sagar lake is just 1Km away. The City Palace, Jagadish Madir and the Local street Market of Udaipur is just 2-3Kms away.

We stayed at Ambavgarh retreat for 3 Nights during the New Year and thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. I have to say Pratap Singh and Raju Singh are the epitome of customer service as they both went above and beyond to accommodate us and make our stay as comfortable as ever.

We arrived late and was a late check in, but we were welcomed with warm smiles. The rooms were big and decent. Very Neat and Hygenic. Clean Bathrooms and properly ventilated. Thats what you would want from a place where you need to spend your holiday.

The Complimentary breakfast served was hot and freshy prepared on order. We were served Poori bhaaji, Aloo Paratha, Poha and Bread omlette's along with Coffee/Tea. Nothing overboard but homely and delicious. They even have a pretty good menu but we never tasted any of their other food apart from Breakfast.

Was Impressed with their warm and friendly approach. Once day we were out of town and returned almost by 11Pm. All Dinner options were shut down so we just made a casual enquiry if some food could be served. The staff went out of their way and prepared fresh food even tough the kitchen had closed its doors by 10 30pm. Was really impressed with this response. Kudos to the Staff.

Overall i would highly recommend to Stay at Ambavgarh Retreat for its Location, Ambience and Hospitality.
