This has got to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed at
Would not call it a hotel,more like a hostel
Booked this hotel for a one night stay as we had a early flight at the airport
Rated as a 3 star(never more likes no star)
The whole ambience is quite rough,stained and ripped carpets ,strange smells in the corridor
Car park is quite dark did worry if car would be ok
Walk past old kitchen equipment stacked up on the car park
Room was very basic curtains hanging off the wall no door chain on the door
Nothing matches in the room
Mattress was a very cheap and not very comfortable
Only good point was the sheets were clean
Really did consider leaving and sleeping in our car at the airport but having been at work all day and pretty tired decided to stay
Cost£75 for 7 hours stay
Best thing about the hotel was the exit out of it
Choose some where else as you will be very disappointed
Ps I’m a rough an ready chap from the midlands and I felt on edge while staying there

I stayed at the Amblehurst Hotel for one night for business and unfortunately have to say this hotel is below a stage and poor at best!
I stay in many hotels through my job but have never experienced such a dirty, basic uncomfortable room.
I searched the hotel online and found it over Booking.com the images shown on the website looked nice with lovely new bathrooms and bedrooms. However this is not what I experienced!
The room had 2 beds in it which where covered with a white dirty bed sheet, sleeping wasn't possible as you could feel every spring in the mattress as well as loaf banging outside!
The carpets and chairs where very gruby and the room had a unpleasant smell to it!
The bathroom was very basic and also dirty, with the shower regulator to switch it on and of broken of when using it which resulted in not being able to shower. The shower curtain was dirty and the one shelf in the bathroom was broken which resulted in my bathroom essentials falling all over the floor and braking!
After pointing the fault out to staff (maintenance man) I received shrugged shoulders and a "I'll take a look at it at some point" but judging by previous reviews I'm guessing this never happens.
I've attached some images which are advertised on there website vs the actual room I got!
I would recommend people DO NOT stay at this hotel.

Big mistake choosing this place, more like a rehab centre than hotel. We only stayed one night, I would like to say slept one night, but we had to put up with banging doors and loud talking all night and finally got some sort of sleep at 5AM. The hotel rooms are supposed to be non smoking but there were cigarette burns on the bedside cabinet and dressing table, which otherwise looked to be quite new. Two out of the four spotlights were not working, same with the tv remote, well I say tv, not much bigger than an ipad! The room itself was clean and tidy and breakfast not too bad apart from asking for marmalade and being told we don't have any, however when the waitress brought the bowl over it did contain jam and marmalade portions, problem was one of the marmalade containers had been opened and half eaten! The door locks to the bedrooms are far from secure. All in all far too expensive for this type of hotel.

Amblehurst hotel - receptionist was nice and friendly. We only stayed overnight our room was spotless and cleaned properly. I am working in a hospitality industry as far as the room we stayed in it was clean.Breakfast was good. Ample space for parking at the
Back of the property.Minimal noise considering it's a Saturday night when we stayed. Only people walking at the hallway and shutting the door other than that it was a good and quiet night.

Wont stay here again. Room was dated. Hotel was uninviting, dark and gloomy. Bit dirty and generally uninviting. For the price, I have stayed in much much better.
The bed seemed clean as did the bathroom.
