Perfect Stop, Clean & Fresh
Love Son 05/08/2017 05:54My kids and I stayed overnight in this Hotel in Big lake, MN. We loved the clean and comfortable updated.rooms with the modern amenities, such as the lighting, great wifi connection, and super comfy mattresses. The Mexican restaurant next door had excellent food. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. Very nice breakfast as well. well maintained property. Will stay again when in the area.
King Size Bedroom is huge!
adventureseeker2016on 26/07/2017 22:30I stayed 3 nights while on a business trip. The room was huge with a king size bed, desk, recliner, dresser, and snack bar with coffee pot, microwave, and refrigerator. Everything was clean. Continental breakfast was okay. Nice location and easy to access.

Amy Kon 21/02/2017 04:38Motel is very clean and quiet. All amenities are in excellent condition, including the free breakfast & the staff is polite & friendly. Its new (at least seems that way) and well maintained. The common areas, rooms were really nice & clean. We enjoyed our stay, would be back next time.
Decent hotel for the price, customer service could use improvement
Leah Pon 28/05/2016 04:54I only stayed for a night. The room was spacious and seemed fairly clean, no complaints there except that the light in my bathroom was extremely dim. I had no issue booking online through a third party booking site. Free wifi that is literally just open and free, don't even need a code or sign in when you get online. When I checked in, however, I was greeted by a less-than-stellar front desk worker.
He saw me struggling to open the front door since I was carrying a large plastic tote with both hands. Just watched it happen, made eye contact with me and everything. Alright, that's fine, I got the door open eventually. Didn't greet me when I walked up to the counter, just stared and waited for me to say something. The checking in process was painfully awkward. He had a very thick accent and while I do not judge him for that, he was hard to understand and anything he said I had to ask to be repeated. Sorry if that's annoying, guy, but I really could not for the life of me understand you and I REALLY tried.
By the end of the whole conversation he was obviously ready for me to go away. No politeness in anything he said while I tried to be polite as I could despite not understanding a word. Really put me off.
Overall, the actual rooms and facilities are fine. The doors and walls aren't exactly sound proof but luckily there wasn't much noise. Just the customer service needs some serious improvements.
Really poor first impression and online system isn't working for correct location
Build Real Eon 30/10/2015 18:06I tried to book on line but it kept bringing me to the Monticello location instead.Calling there was useless. I told the man who answered the phone that I couldn't book online because it kept bringing me to the Monticello location. I asked if he could help me instead. His response: "I no know if I can help you, no." WHAT? What is that?
I asked for a manager, thinking this guy just didn't speak English very well. He said, 'No manager.' I asked when the manager would be available. He said, 'Until 5.'
Again, What?
So I asked again if I could speak to the manager. He said, "Why?" I said because you just said you couldn't help me to which he said 'Okay then I will help you. What do you need?
By this time, I was done.
Going elsewhere.
