You don't need to travel to Mexico to experience the filth, sleevze and screw you you attitude. This Mexican brought it to you. If you wouldn't spend the night in a Tiajuana motel, don't stay here.

Disgusting and no refund once you see it in person.

This place is disgusting!!! You can tell just by walking into the lobby that it is not cared for. We went to our room and there was a couple doing what appeared to be a drug deal in the hallway. When we entered the room, the lock was almost falling off the door, there was a huge burn hole in the carpet, the couch (fake leather) was dusty, it appeared that there had been two people laying on the "made" bed and the sink in the bathroom had god only know what on it. To top it off the guy at the front desk when I came down to tell him about it called his manager who told him to tell me to return in two hours, ask for David and David would refund me. When I met David he told me that I would need to go through booking.com to recieve the refund. He then proceeded to refuse the refund when booking.com requested it. I called him directly and he called me a liar. Upon asking to speak with his boss he said that wasn't possible however he would take my number but NOT guarantee that the owner "Peter" would ever call me back. DO NOT WASTE you money in this dump of a motel.

I wouldn't even give this place a single star, my fiancé pulls up walks to the doors and some woman (a guest chatting with the front desk employee) greets him pulling her shirt up showing her bra and rubbing all over her body!! Absolutely DISGUSTING! My fiancé walks over to another window to talk to the front desk employee and he flat out just said they were booked which is fine but to be greeted in such a manner with our children waiting in the car, seeing this made my blood boil. Never EVER going back! Will call the manager ASAP!

I'm writing a review because I feel like America's best deserves this
Being a victim of a Craigslist scam for a rental I ended up not having anywhere to go stayed at another hotel (not this one) and ended up getting infested with bugs! After spending over $800 at the other hotel room when I asked for them to go ahead and compensate me because I was infested with bugs and they ended up telling me to leave I had 15 minutes or I was considered trespassing in they were going to call the police which they did.
I'm a very clean person and when I got to the other hotel room I had to actually clean it from top to bottom it was disgusting. when I got to America's Best and I came into the room I actually can honestly say that the room was cleaned thoroughly it was actually nice to be able to put my stuff down and relax.
The hotel staff have been nothing but friendly, management has been so great understanding our current situation actually helped update and upgrade some of the amenities to make sure that our stay was much more welcoming considering what we were going through I actually can honestly say that this is Hospitality at its finest they are understanding kind people and and this is the first time in a long time that I actually feel like we matter.
Im a banker on medical leave and my spouse works fire retention company cleaning restaurant hoods. We are not scum. Or criminals.That's exactly how we were treated at the previous hotel. That is not hospitality!
We have enjoyed our stay. Had other cheaper options but choose to stay where we know we will get treated the way a hotel shall treat you. Property is on a iffy street but they keep coffee eye on security cameras. Also they but real close to shopping food and freeway access. If you need a real place that may not be fancy but clean and spacious and up-to-date come to Americas Best Value.

I'm flabbergasted at the negative reviews.

My room was clean, large, and everything worked. Service was excellent. It was completely quiet.

And the price was well below other nearby lodging.

Refrigerator, microwave, big TV, and free wi-fi. The only negatives were no desk in the room and no free breakfast. And it's not immediately accessible from I-5 (you have to drive a few locks and make some turns...big deal).
But at this price...?

I stayed one night in the middle of a long road trip. I'd definitely try it again.
