Disappointing place to stay
Jerry Pon 24/07/2017 01:23We were on a motorcycle trip through VA, WV and KY. Stopped in and were given a price on a ground floor room (my wife has knee problems and can't stairs well). Clerk sent employee to go on and get the a/c started. Said it would take about 5 minutes for it to start cooling. We unloaded our gear into the room, then went to supper. While we were out we did a little sight-seeing. Gone for about 2 hours. When we got back, the room wasn't any cooler than when we had left. Requested another room. Took over 30 minutes for them to get us another room, although they weren't by any means fully occupied. Then the new room was on second floor, meaning we had to transfer all our belongings to the new room and with no apologies or offer to discount for our troubles. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Connie Yon 10/07/2017 01:56when we got to hotel they showed us a room it smelled so bad of smoke and musty so we took another room which when we went in again smelled like cigar smoke and it was suppose to be non-smoking went to office and they gave me a deodorizer to spray. there was only 1 set of towels, when my husband got into bed there was no top sheet the wallpaper was duct taped to the wall, just a terrible room.......

BevSSon 25/02/2017 15:01I had made my reservation online and it took forever to check in.The day I checked in they couldn't use my American Express so they took it to another hotel machine and overcharged me about $20 which Im still waiting to get back. Ice machine was broken and none available in lobby. Black curly hair on my hand towel and Im a blonde. Tub didn't look clean so didn't use it. Not an extra roll of tiolet paper. Advertise free internet but only way you can get it is to put your phone over your head. Then it won't stay on but few a minutes. The icing on the cake was getting back to room after a long day of meetings and the TV cable was out. A call to front desk was greeted with a "oh well" attitude. When I asked to talk to a manager, he said that he was the closest I was going to get to one. I told him I'd just go on and check out since no TV but wanted money back on room. He said NO REFUNDS ever. So I was expected to sit in a room with no internet and no TV. Cable finally came back up at 7:40 pm. I've stayed here several times in the past, but never again. I will not be treated badly by a hotel that should be trying to impress me.
Hotel owner was rude and profane toward employees
mullins70on 06/02/2017 15:09The staff was great, my stay was going well until breakfast when the owner came in and started belittling his employees. He began by calling them lazy and good for nothing. That was bad but it got worse when he started calling the employees profane names. I feel for the employees of this establishment. I will not be back.

Copsruleon 08/10/2016 17:43In our defence, we were very hot and tired when we arrived here! Checking in was a little bit of a challenge - there were some problems - not sure what or why but we did get there eventually. When we arrived in the room our immediate thought that it looked old and very tired and in urgent need of refurbishment especially the bathroom. The king size bed had only two pillows so had to request more. The TV remote did not work and required several trips back and forth to reception to resolve. All in all the room was very quiet but probably wouldn't stay there again.
