What People are saying

the Patel Hotel is HORRIBLE (Patel is the owner)

HappyTravekeron 03/04/2017 00:52

Our room smelled of strong disinfectant and my eyes started watering the minute I walked in. I checked for bed bugs but couldn't see any. I also couldn't see any hair dryer or face towels that were thicker than a Kleenex. There were no screens on our 3rd floor room's slider, so a child easily could have tumbled over the side. There was the constant banging of doors opening and closing all during the night.. short-term tenants, no doubt. The elevator door closed so quickly we couldn't enter it (saving electricity I imagine and we were forced to retreat as the door opened-- then closed immediately so as not to get hit in the face. I agree with Moe 24655.. this place is a filthy unsafe nightmare. The second night I borrowed bedding from a friend as I could not imagine snuggling up to the dismal and dirty looking blankets and sheets. Stay away from this place no matter what!!

A FILTHY UNSAFE NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!!

The worst hotel I have ever been in.. Owner does not care about any part of this terrible place. Broken elevator, NO SECURITY.. DOORS TO OUTSIDE THE BUILDING DO NOT LOCK. No lock bar on the inside rooms. Broken lights, outlets broken filthy towels I could keep going but it is clear the owner understands that people desperate to stay in this college town will somehow stay at this god forsaken prison -for- the-insane. Don't forget the 2 night minimum on weekends that have events. He should lose his business license!!! Should allow

Dank and Dated

The room appears to be clean at first glance, but everywhere you look, something or the other is broken or falling apart. The bathroom is bare with rust marks on the tub, the baseboards are crumbling due to moisture. Breakfast that comes with the room price was mini chocolate donuts and coffee. I couldn't tell how old the donuts were. Room service made my bed, but I found an old muffin tucked under the pillows (over the comforter).
Perhaps the worst hotel I've stayed in over the last 25 years.

Football Game Lodging

Old, dark, somewhat dank hotel. Overpriced for football weekend at $157 per night. Seemed clean, but well worn. Within easy walking distance to Memorial Stadium. Bedding below standard, furniture worn and old.

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST MOTEL IN AMERICA!

booked a room for Friday, Oct. 14, 2016. Mold in the shower, bedding, bedspread were stained and smelled to high heaven. Carpet was dirty and worn, very outdated room. The TV appeared to be from the 70's. The smell was indescribable. I paid $167.00 for one night. The room looked nothing like the one pictured on the website. This place looks like it's used for anything but sleeping. Fair warning to anyone looking to book this place in Bloomington, especially for a football weekend. I suggest you sleep in your car!! I would have given zero stars, but you had to give a rating. They should be turned in to the Health Department.
