Horribly in Need of an Upgrade

Old and run down Motel 6 in a "sketchy" neighborhood just off I-10 eastbound. Upon checking in at the desk the clerk said he needed to see a photo I.D. - that should have been my first tip off! A woman in the parking lot asking for money was another!
Exterior sadly needing paint and basic maintenance. Interior - stained bedspread and old chipped furniture. A footprint on the inside of the room door.
Doesn't someone from Corporate inspect their franchisee owners from time to time???????? I have stayed in worse in southeast Asia. I brought my sleeping bag from my car to sleep in.
A drunk pounding on my door at 11:30 pm.
Find somewhere else to stay - this isn't worth risking piece of mind, potential auto break in or risk of potential physical injury!
So, why did I stay you ask? Too tired to find another motel!!!!!!

This place was horrible because of neighbourhood. The guy in the room next to ours said to my husband I nice things that I am going to sell tonight do you want to see?
Bad intro to the motel. We took all our valuable goods inside. There was come and go and knocking on door all night. Happily the clim was covering the noise so we could sleep. The room itself was average. Clean bhe comfi except for the dirty rug and chair stained burned and falling apart. I wish I have read the comments begore reserving.

Dont go outside when it's dark

It is me and my two little grand babies and thank God we brought the dog go to go outside to walk the dog and there must be 60 people crowded around and little groups in the parking lot I have never in my life been so scared

Traveling with dogs...didn't want them on the filthy carpet

One of the dirtiest rooms I have stayed in. The carpet was really yucky, so bad I didn't really want my dogs on it. There were multiple wet spots on the carpet when we first went in the room. I ended up going to the store to buy bleach spray and wipes. Also bought Fabreeze because this non-smoking room smelled like an ash tray. The lobby area was decent and the staff I dealt with were friendly. We had been driving all day and were very tired so we decided to stay here. Most of the clientele we saw were rather questionable. The room numbers fell off most of the doors so they wrote them in with a black marker, classy! The cable and wifi were good. Would not stay here again!

I was lucky to call and there be a room available especially during the recent Louisiana floods. The young lady at the front desk was friendly and accommodating. Room rates were reasonable. Upon first sight of the motel I was not too sure. Even as I got my room I was not sure of the condition in which it would be. When I got back to my room the door on the outside gave me more reason for doubt. Those doors Seriously need to be cleaned. The door was difficult to open. much to my relief when I opened the door I was impressed. Carpet on the floor appeared to be clean, the bed was not the typical Motel 6 bed. TV, microwave and refrigerator. All appeared in good working order. The bed was truly a king size bed with clean sheets. Towels were also clean. No bugs, no mess, good price and friendly staff. For a place to stay to get a good nights rest this would be the spot. The room was also a good-sized room
