We came for the shut down at the paper mill as we do every year. This use to be a nice motel. It has run down alot. The pictures on this site are from when it was new!! It's not new anymore. The beds are in bad shape and so are the linens on it. the furniture is very worn. The towels are stained and need to be replaced. Alot of construction workers here. Lots of noise and no one does any thing about it. The lady that works here does not take card reservation but she just writes your name down and you may not get the room you ask for but whatever's left. Smoking rooms are terrible!!! So we will look elsewhere for rooms from now on!!

The room seemed clean but the tiles were dirty... the towelsand washcloths dirty the tub was dirty and there was pee on the toilet. I did not pull the covers back I slept on top of them I got bites on my chest and my neck there were roaches in the room. When I told the housekeeping they said they checked the room and there was nothing there shame on them when I said they needed to spray that should have agreed ....

The Inn is in a great location. The head of the Inn chain needs to visit and reinforce their mission statement.
The motel needed a good cleaning. The sidewalk and steps were nasty. The room smells. There are very few hotels in the area and there were many guest coming from out of town. There were no plans to make the place nice for this special event that happens every year at the same time. There was orange juice left on the counter from breakfast (check in late evening). I was afraid to eat breakfast the next day, I did not want to get sick.
Wifi was not working properly.
Rude owner, dirty everything

Myself and two friends booked this hotel through Travelocity. We were on a metal detecting trip since Selma has a lot of history. Upon arrival, the Indian woman running the joint questioned whether we had truly made reservations. I had to explain to her that the hotel had already been paid for. I noticed a lot of aluminum cans and trash in the flower beds of the stairwells. The hotel staff would "clean" a room and throw the metal stuff from the trash cans in the stairwells for whatever reason. The "cleaning" of the room each day consisted of making the beds only and taking out the dirty towels without replacing them. The day we checked in we noticed that the sheets had hair and crumbs in them. We had to ask the woman for extra towels and a change of sheets. She also left our hotel room open for people to go in and take what they wanted while we were out for the day. When they take the dirty towels out of each room every day, they throw them in a big pile in the parking lot for a few hours. That's how we figured out there were stains on the towels. We decided to leave that hotel and stay at another one for our last night in Selma. She was rude and said that we still weren't getting a refund. At that point I didn't care. We finished out our vacation staying at Holiday Inn and Suites just a block down the road. Now that experience was great. Hope this steers others away from the Indian woman's motel.

Stayed there for work was there for about 10 days.Got a decent price for the week then paid nigtly the last few days price was fair they did not raise prices because of big weekend which supprised me .Was ther during the big weekend the annual bridge crossing and president was there didnt have any problems place was pretty quiet for all the guest they had but could have been because there were at least 6 state troopers staying there also.Rooms was clean and no bugs had a bad experience at Knights Inn and moved here was pleased with the room stayed on second floor so no foot traffic above me Did not try breakfast so dont know how it was but was a continental breakfast so probably just the basics.
