What People are saying

Great find for clean room & great breakfast!

This is a simple motel with nice clean rooms, nothing fancy but fine for travel thru town and the best offer was the included breakfast. Bed was super comfy, good sheets and enough pillows. Parking is right outside room and lot was well lit. Restaurant (attached) had great options for breakfast. Can't beat this for affordable option. We have stayed previously at Choice and Microtel nearby but will choose this one again next year.

Below expectations, but tasty breakfast

The breakfast options at the restaurant on site were delicious. The room itself was outdated (as expected) but the room did not seem clean - the bathroom counter was dirty, the carpets stained, and there was alcohol left in the fridge by a previous guest. While at breakfast, housecleaning must have come by and the door was left wide open although we obviously had not checked out yet and all our items were still in the room. I would not stay here again.

Just Fine

This is a very friendly old-time Mom and Pop Motel and the rating is based on what it is, not as if it were a high-end property. The exterior needs extensive renovation but that is exceedingly expensive so I'm sure it will not happen at least in the short-term. But having read other reviews on TripAdvisor we decided that we would try it out. The rooms are very large, albeit outdated furnishings. That was quite comfortable and if you aren't doing a thread count the linens are fine. There is a new shower and tub enclosure, but could use a new sink. The attached restaurant is very nicely decorated and has a cheery atmosphere. Our included breakfast was excellent, not like the usual chain hotel variety, and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is definitely worth the price you pay 4 an experience of the bygone days.

Casa Lemus Inn

Older hotel, but very clean, with a nice restaurant attached... free breakfast as part of the room, and its actually a real breakfast, not a couple of stale donuts and bad coffee... Managements was very friendly and helpful.

Just ok

When I booked this place I knew it was not a 5 star hotel so I was not expecting one. The guy that checked us in was super nice and I have no complaints with that. The room itself was ok. A little worn but so is much of Raton. It could use a face lift. Fresh new caulk would make a huge difference. My husband and I both did not sleep well. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. We ended up getting up earlier than anticipated because of the lack of sleep so the restaurant was not open yet for breakfast so I can't rate that at all. I was looking forward to it because it had good reviews
