Hotel is in a great location. Owner not over friendly but a nice guy. Room was clean. Biggest issue, the bed was terrible. So soft you could not move. Once you were in a spot you had to stay. Only other issue it's very expensive for what you get and where

Fine for the money

We had reserved two nights, one going and one on the way back from our 9 day trip. The last night there, it seemed to me our room had an odd smell, the sheets weren't tucked under the mattress and the coverlet was wrinkled. It just kind of gave me the impression the sheets might not have been changed, but I chose not to comment so that's on me. This location badly needs refreshing, but they did offer packaged cinnamon buns and bananas, coffee, milk and fake orange juice for Continental breakfast. The wi-fi was spotty to non-existent our first night, but blazing first our second.

Have stayed several times. Staff is polite, helpful, and very friendly.

I was given the choice of several rooms. The motel is directly off of I40, but the property is very sedate. The rooms are clean, the Internet is of good quality, and the television stations are numerous and cover a wide variety.

We always love to stay at this motel each time we go from Central Texas to Appomattox, Virginia to visit family. Our trips have usually been once a year but this year we have planned to go twice. The place has the best beds. They are so comfortable it doesn't take long to go to sleep. We always get a non smoking, two bed room and we have two pups so we ask for the rooms to the back where there is a beautiful large area for them to enjoy. At night the area is well lighted and they have security cameras. So I feel very safe staying here. The rooms have always been extra clean. There is a flat screen tv, wifi, desk with two chairs, a small fridge, coffee pot with the fixins plus iron and ironing board. The towels are always clean and soft. Plenty of hot water for showers to start your trip the next day. There is free ice and in the morning they offer some sweet rolls, fruit and coffee. Right down the road is a Shell station with a McDonalds. There are other places on that road as well as a dine in restaurant. I have wanted to stay here and visit the surrounding sites of the civil war times and one day we might do that. They have a pool for warmer weather. Plenty of parking too. You just can not beat the price for what you get at this great place. As long as it is here we will stop. The surrounding area is beautiful too! BTW if ever you encounter any thing not to your liking they are quick to take care of the issue, no matter how small. I sound like an advertisement for this wonderful place but I promise you I have not been paid for my comments. I just enjoy staying here. We always call ahead and ask for what we want because we check in late, it is best to do that so you get what you want, but we have never been disappointed.

Stayed here one night on my way through to Texas. Nice clean quiet place to stay. Very reasonable price which included a very basic breakfast. I was very happy with this motel and would stay again. Staff was wonderful - lady on desk in evening and the man in the morning. Stayed March 8th.
