rodeoscoreboardon 15/08/2017 00:52Stayed a week, room was clean and comfortable. The staff were all very nice and the owner very welcoming. They are pet friendly and next door is a large park with paved walking trails. I would stay here again.
Best in town
keeshan1on 25/03/2017 05:02I had to come in December 2016 and stay for 9 days. I also had other joining me so I looked at both choices in town (there are only 2). This hotel won because of the personal service provided by the owner. He was so gracious and wanted to make sure our stay was comfortable. The hotel is not the Ritz, but it is clean and comfortable and a hotel (doors open to inside, not outside). It is in a safe area with a park behind it. The park even has a 3-4 mile walking/running concrete trail behind it. I had to come in March 2017 for another 3 days and chose to stay at the same place. The owner is so accommodating. He really cares how things are going and wants to make sure you have enjoyable stay. Highlights: free wifi, a fridge, microwave, modern bathrooms, and free coffee.
Gross and creepy
Curtis Son 20/02/2017 05:21Ever pull up to a hotel and feel your skin crawl? Walk into the room to see that the inside is as bad as the outside? If you want to experience this, stay here. Pulling in, there are very few lights in the parking lot and which is creepy. Most of the room windows have the shades drawn back and open, further adding to the creepiness of this place. The lobby is dimly lit except for the front counter. The girl working the front counter was nice
The rooms have two doors, one external entry and one internal entry. Thankfully, both have deadbolts and chains. I am not one that scares easily but this hotel has a HUGE serial killer vibe to it. If you have to work or do anything in Crossett that involves overnight stay, I would suggest staying Bastrop, LA or even Monroe, LA and make the drive.
Good basic services
Scott8147on 29/09/2016 21:55This is an old motel that they are doing a good job of trying to maintain. It seemed I was the only person there until I saw someone else at breakfast. The place was just deserted. Having said that, my room was just fine. Plenty of towels. The breakfast was basic continental. Both the lady who checked me in and the gentleman who checked me out were extremely friendly and helpful. If you are OK with just the basics, then this is a good choice.
OK Stay for the weekend
khebert2016on 19/09/2016 15:31Room was clean, bathroom was clean, very friendly staff. Hotel overall was in good shape on the inside. True to other reviewers words, this looks much better on the inside. They are working to continue the upgrades. When we arrived to check in, the hotel lobby was a sauna... Very warm on the inside in mid-September where outside temps during the day were reaching 90+ degrees. The room we stayed in was worse. AC was off and it took the better part of the entire overnight hours to cool down. There was a musty odor in the room as well. Could be a combination of the building's age and the temperature.
