Never Had So Many Trips to the Front Desk

Use to live in Monroe and knew the location. Since I have an America's Best membership we decided to stay at this motel. I had called the hotel directly for the reservation a month before our visit. When we checked in our reservation couldn't be found. The "general manager" supposedly was the one checking us in. I found she only checked us in for one night, we were staying three, when she presented credit card slip. She then ran credit card for 2 more nights. We were asked 1 bed or 2. I told her 1. We get to room and the mayflies were horrible and had not been cleaned off the windows or doors. I went to get a broom to sweep them off door so I could enter. When I did get into the room, there were 2 beds. Went back to desk and she changed our room. Granted she upgraded us to the Jacuzzi room, but again had to sweep mayflies off the door. The next day we get back to our room, keys wouldn't work and we are locked out. Went to front desk and finally got the desk clerk to understand the situation only because "general manager" came in to the motel. The next morning housekeeping comes by and tells us that if we are staying another night we have to check with the front desk. Really! Even though we had the Jacuzzi room there were only 2 towels which were small and very scratchy. I think I have dishtowels bigger. We actually went to Walmart and bought 2 towels. Then when housekeeping came to exchange towels they only left 1 towel and didn't leave a bath mat for the Jacuzzi. Wish now that we had stayed a the motel across the parking lot. Won't be staying at this location again unless absolutely necessary. Regarding the WiFi - we ended up using the hotspot on our phones.

We extended stayed here for work but mostly just endured it. There was a shortage of places and it was lower priced. The place needed a remodel 15 years ago but never got it. The first room we stayed in seemed to have bed bugs. We had a Jacuzzi room to start with but I wouldn't trust using the Jacuzzi for cleanness. The 2nd room was a kitchenette and the cabinets were worn out, the micro was busted, the door had a hole where someone smashed it. carpet was very sketchy. We survived it but I wouldn't recommend this place unless nothing else is available. From what we saw in Monroe this place was one of the roughest hotels available.

Old decor, hot water booster circulator out of service meaning turning on Bathroom tub and sink to get Hot water to room. Towels and linens clean but old and tattered. Continental breakfast lacking. Road noise North Side Motel nuisance at times.

Choose another place!

We knew this motel was dated when we rolled up, but having good experiences with other Americas Best Value motels, we decided to give it a try. The price was high and when we said we would pass, it was immediately dropped by 40 dollars. The wifi in the room was either slow or non functional. The room was dated, the sink barely drained and morning showers were not possible because there was no hot water! When we complained, we were told to call the manager sometime after 10:00 A.M. We won't be stupid enough to stop here again.
