What People are saying
Only for heavy sleepers with tiny cars and extremely low standards
maediseunon 07/08/2017 07:55The rooms are pretty spacious.... that's about it. The upper parking lot holds at most 6 cars, and don't even bother trying to park here if you have any kind of trailer. Even a tiny one. It's impossible. Trust me. The front desk staff member I spoke to when I called to book my reservation assured me that it would be okay to check in around 1 (a little early), but when we arrived, the room wasn't ready. And wouldn't be ready until well after two, when we finally got to move in. (2 was supposed to be official check in time, the housekeeper wasn't finished cleaning our room until about 2:30). Aside from that, in the one night we were here, one car was stolen and at least one more was broken in to. The rooms are VERY poorly insulated, so all night you have the privilege hearing cars loudly driving by on the (fairly busy) road, which is frankly really not great at all. But the cherry on top was the pool. Oh, the pool. The pool looks nice... from a (great) distance. Upon closer inspection, the were multiple large rocks (??? Or sticks???) on the bottom, along with an empty chicken noodle soup can and a cigarette butt floating around in the pool. Needless to say, we definitely did not use the pool during our trip. Overall, don't stay here unless your only other option is sleeping in your car in a Walmart parking lot. Even then, the car might be a better choice.
Cheap, Dirty and Dishonest
Michael Lon 15/05/2017 15:45We booked Three rooms (for two nights) and parking for two vehicles, in total almost $1000.00, for our family vacation. The one of the rooms had not been cleaned since the previous guest, the others the bedding was old and itchy, but the worse part is their total unwillingness to honor their advertisement of “free shuttle” to the airport . . .
When we checked in the desk clerk admitted that the Motel’s van was not large enough to take our whole group (10 people) said they would have taxis for us in the morning “we will pay for these”.
It had snowed all day the day before and they were too cheap buy chains for their van . . . By morning all the taxis were not taking fares, they did arrange for the airport shuttle van to come and get us, but the 2 mile trip to the airport ended up costing me $75. Needless to say I was surprised to learned that the Motel hadn’t paid the fare . . .
Upon returning home I sent the Motel the copy of the receipt and waited for reimbursement . . . After waiting several weeks I called and talked with the owner who refused to honor his advertisement of “free Shuttle to the airport”.
Stay here at your peril . . . If this is the any example of what one can expect form doing business in Portland probably best just to go to Seattle.
For the sake of your life, don't stay here!
Edward Mon 02/05/2017 23:20Terrible, absolutely terrible! I don't know where to begin...First off, the place looks nothing like the pictures from the Motel 6 website! Absolute dump! Upon arrival I was greeted with couples/families yelling at each other down the hall. I was afraid to leave my truck there for the night, and for the first time in my life, I actually feared for my life staying at a place like this. I was already booked, so it was too late. Room had a funky smell. The kitchen with all the utensils were a mess. I'm surprised I didn't get bed bugs...The next morning I woke up to the sound of a couple arguing with each other and the man punching and kicking the door to his room. Staff don't do a thing there to being comfort and quiet to their guess. It shows how much they truly care...
Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else, possibly at a better neighborhood at least. DON'T. STAY. HERE!!
Ho what a night…
HARRYLIME51on 12/12/2016 07:01The day was spent in heavy rain and cold winds, we finally arrived at Studio 6 in the early evening, as we drove down into the garage there was a group of people standing around smoking and drinking…..not a good start.
We found a way up into the motel only to be confronted with a check-in behind bullet proof glass….my wife was getting concerned , but the check-in went smoothly, I’m not certain but the man who checked us in may have been on Americas most wanted?
A word about the room/studio it was big I mean BIG, the room was clean the hot water worked well and the beds deep and comfortable.
Would I stay again…. If I found myself in that part of Portland it would be OK
!!!!!!!!!!!!HORRIBLE - CAR BROKEN INTO
ninap1219on 05/12/2016 06:07THIS PLACE IS AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!! PICTURES ON THE INTERNET ARE NOTHING LIKE WHAT THE MOTEL IS. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Car was broken into, window smashed out on the first night. Checked out immediately and went somewhere else. Dirty rooms, weird housekeeping staff that kept knocking at my doors.. WILL NEVER EVER GO NEAR THIS PLACE AGAIN IN MY LIFE..
