Pictures are worth a thousand words. This place didn't feel safe at all it look like, it is prostitute infested drug-infested. Couldn't even take a shower because of the tub what's the dirty as hell. The tub and the sink. Never again!!

No. No. No.

I was cast in a movie filming near Decatur, and booked a room at the last minute. Considering I didn't have much to choose from on that date, I went ahead and got a cheap room reasoning I wouldn't be there much anyway.

The stay was for 4 nights, and I left Florida on a Monday afternoon. My husband had used our credit card to reserve the room (it's in his name because we only keep one card). Upon arrival, (early evening), I went to check in at the front desk, only to be met by bulletproof glass and and older Indian gentleman behind the counter. He was very friendly and checked my reservation and started looking confused. I explained my husband had booked the reservation with his card, but the room was for me (we even listed that upon booking the room through Expedia). The older gentlemen seemed to understand until a younger man, possibly his son, came into the room. Even though I had proper ID, proof we were married and our credit card, they would not allow me to check in with my reservation because the card was in my husband's name, reasoning that "they were afraid they wouldn't get paid". It's a bank credit card, do they not know how putting things on credit works?

Tired, and having an early call time in the morning, I gave in and handed them my debit card. I ended up having to pay MORE than the original booked price online, which gave me the feeling that's why they wouldn't take the credit card. They wouldn't allow me to enter my pin, but instead asked me to read it out, which made me uncomfortable. He told me I had 15 minutes to check my room and make sure it was ok, handing me my key and the TV remote and followed me out of the office continuously asking and re-asking if I brought a pet or someone else, which I didn't bring either.

I immediately began being harassed by men hanging out in the parking lot. This happened any time I left the room, to the point where I called my husband anytime I even walked to my car. I even had one man flash a few fifties at me and try to "buy" me, and one that followed me from the stairs to the front office. In general, this motel is sketchy but much more quiet during the day, but as evening rolls around it is loud and gives a general fear of danger.

Entering the room, it appeared tidy and decent. But upon closer inspection there were many unpleasant things about the room. Burn holes in the sheets, peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, black mold on the shower ceiling and spots where you could tell they just tried to paint over it. The iron was bolted down, and made it difficult to properly iron things correctly. The door didn't fully shut, although the emergency There was no "Do Not Disturb" sign, so even if you were trying to sleep in, good luck. And because the couple who do housekeeping do not speak English, you can't tell them to go away. There was no offerings of shampoo or conditioner, only a few facial bars and a bar of soap. Taking a shower was unpleasant, every few minutes you would here a beep and burning hot water would shoot out. It became a game dodging the water before it burnt my skin.

I did brave walking down to the CVS while on the phone with my husband, and was continuously harassed. The convenience store across the street was the same way, even the cashier was being creepy. Every time I saw someone employed at the hotel, they asked me when I was leaving. My room key didn't work after 30 minutes because apparently you're not supposed to keep it with your phone or it'll deactivate it. Instead of telling me this politely when I brought the key back to the front desk, I got a stern lecture about it. Only when I was checking out did I get a polite vibe from this place. Being a young woman in town for business, I was not safe and I recommend this motel to anyone, especially young women.

Worst and Nastiest Place Ever

Kendra J on 11/01/2016 17:54

This was the worst place by far, that I have ever stayed. I have stayed at cheaper places that were in way better shape. I know this has to be a place that rents rooms out to a lot of drug abusers and prostitutes. It was that nasty. The first thing I always do is check out the bedding in a room. This of course was dirty. Before I even got to the room, I was told this was the best room and for 62.50 a night. I gave them the benefit of a doubt. He lied!!!!!!! I called down for clean bedding and they brought me a sheet up. I had been traveling all day and was leaving out at 4am it was after 10pm. I took the sheet laid it out over the other sheet and pillows that were also dirty. And used my snuggie as a blanket. I could hear people walking and talking outside and didn't get to sleep at all. This was a terrible experience. I had to wipe everything down with hand sanitizer. And wouldn't let a dog step foot in the dirty shower. Disgusted!!!!! Let the pictures speak for themselves!

Drug and prostitution ring.

By far the worst most unprofessional experience of my life. My boyfriend and I were traveling through Atlanta and didn't even stay in the room for the night. The non smoking room smelled heavily of smoke. When we got back to the motel after dinner a police officer outside informed us of the drug and prostitution issue the motel was having and even offered that we park our car at the police station because he was positive our car would be stolen or broken into. When we complained for a refund to the host he offered to void our room stay if we gave him $40 CASH (obvious scam) we got out of there as fast as possible and slept in the car instead. I would advise that NO ONE waste there time and money on this place.

Unfortunate Booking

Logistics E on 11/12/2014 18:11

I had to book three rooms in the area for our construction crew. The proximity to the job, the price and the reviews I read elsewhere led me to believe this was a good motel for our crew. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. The rooms were clean and relatively decent. The price was very reasonable. The staff did what they could to make the stay better. The manager even gave us his cell number. Great. However, one of rooms had what seemed to be a bullet hole in the wall; there was a drive-by shooting at the hotel across the street; and while having dinner nearby their rental truck had the driver's side window smashed and was then burgled. The police indicated this was a seedy area and there appears to be a ring of thieves that uses look-outs at nearby restaurants that give them an indication as whether the meals are sit-down meals (vs. carry-out) and how much time the thieves have to work. I moved our crew as soon as I found out the next morning. I would advise you to find another location for your stay as well.
