Great Staff!
Angel1217on 16/08/2017 19:41We booked this hotel at the last minute and were a bit wary due to the low price. Upon arriving we were greeted by a very friendly front office staff and quickly registered to a room. The room itself was very well-kept, the bed was quite comfortable. The air-conditioner worked great on this 90° plus day. The bathroom itself was small but clean, the sink does need to be replaced. It is my understanding that they are in the process of upgrading and remodeling so I believe this will be done. Check out in the morning was quite smooth with again a very friendly helpful staff. This may be our go to place in Grand Junction. This is not a fancy hotel, don't stay here if you expect luxury. Do stay here if you're looking for friendly staff and a comfortable bed.
Re-evaluate my last review...
Curt Bon 15/08/2017 10:01A few years ago I reviewed this place and said in Grand Junction it's the little things that make a difference... they still do.
Unfortunately on this stay, ABVI seems to have forgotten about them. I found myself in a room that seems smaller than the ones I used to stay in, some how the furniture doesn't seem to fit it. And the Toilet doesn't flush without assistance (meaning filling the tank by hand before flushing). The only plug that seems to work for charging my phone is on the bathroom sink, and the AC doesn't do as much cooling of the room, it's more like it keeps the room from getting to hot. It appears there has been a change of management since my last visit, and as another person mentioned, they don't seem to be all that pet friendly, despite what their website says. We were told no pet rooms were available on our return trip, so we will be staying at the hotel across the street on our return Trip. I don't expect a palace, but mechanicals that work would be nice.

brent136on 30/07/2017 20:28I arrived in the evening at Grand Junction ABVI from St. George, Utah. After a tiring trip, I carried my cat in her carrier into the lobby only to be greeted by a rude clerk. He flatly told me, "My manager does not accept cats." I told him that the motel's Website says, "Pets welcome."
This rude clerk then goes on to say there is a small star that says to call the manager. If you look at the Web page under "features," it clearly says "Pets welcome," If this motel does not want to accept cats, then they need to say so on the Web page!! Don't say "Pets welcome"! Then, this rude Millenial goes on to say, "most hotels in Grand Junction don't accept cats." Wrong! I stayed at the Econo Lodge across the street. ABVI lost my business and I will not be staying at another one in the future.
You get what you pay for.
mikegr98on 19/07/2017 20:34I had an uneasy feeling when I called and requested a renovated room a week before my visit. The staffer hung up on me after taking my request. When I arrived, I encountered paint flaking off the stairs and became even more uneasy. The room was very bland with more of a two star feel than two and one-half star. Overall the property was dated. My wife and I left shortly after arriving.
LOOK NO FURTHER!
