Older hotel

Check in was very friendly. Rooms are older, but you get what you pay for. Great for a one night stay. You can park directly at your door at some rooms. Restaurant directly next door. No complimentary breakfast at hotel.
Decent Budget Motel

We had changed plans at the last minute, canceled our existing reservations and pulled off the road in Marion on a summer weekend night. The mid-priced hotels around the freeway exit were very busy, with kids in team jerseys piling out of minivans and crowding the lobbies. Figuring these hotels were booked, and that the whirlpool would be packed with people anyway we decided to forgo the extra amenities and headed across the street to America’s Best Value Inn. They had rooms available at a no-discount rate which would have seemed quite high were it not for the obviously high demand in town. Check in was efficient, and we could park across from the door to our first-floor room. I’m not sure why the parking spaces are on that side of the lot, as most motels put them next to the room doors, which comes in handy in bad weather.
The air conditioner was turned off when we entered the room on this very hot day, and it took a while to catch up. We unloaded and went down the street to pick up breakfast items, as the continental breakfast appeared to consist only of coffee, juice, and donuts. Frozen breakfast sandwiches and a bowl of fresh-cut fruit from Kroger filled the bill, as the room had a refrigerator and microwave. As an added bonus, the room was not as oppressively hot when we returned from the shopping trip.
Furnishings were in decent shape for an economy property, although the desk chair was broken. Lighting was spotty; there was a good light fixture for the nightstand, and dim fixates on the desk and in the floor lamp. The small bathroom had not been remodeled since the 1960s, but everything worked fine other than the bathroom door, which had dozens of coats of paint on it and was now too big to close all the way. Water pressure and towels were good.
I was not disturbed by noise during the night, but it could be an issue depending on who your neighbors are, as the walls are pretty thin. We got juice from the lobby to supplement our breakfast fare, and headed back on the road. I would stay again, after verifying the rate is in line with what the market offers.
Dog Friendly Hotel

This wasn't the best hotel we have stayed at but it wasn't the worst. It is definitely an older place but the room was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. We were traveling to Georgia with our two Sheltie's and it was great so we could have our fur babies stay in the room with us. Plenty of places to eat and shop. Easy off, easy on for convenience. I would stay here again if I was traveling with our dogs!

It was my first time in Marion. My husband and I check in at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful come to find out he was from Lima too. It was very clean comfortable bed and fresh in our room. Everything works! We are surrounded by all the main attraction far as shopping and many places to eat like a Steak 'n Shake, Ryan's, Perkins which left Lima a long time ago. I would recommend this hotel and will return soon.

Terrible, was dirty and the blankets had cigarette burns in them.. Walls were dirty, oh did I mention I had a roach crawling up TV that I killed!! The person at desk would not come and look at the roach, then said I had to call back when manager was in.. Never got money back
