We were at this hotel for nearly two weeks. We will be coming back to this hotel on a regular basis. The staff was courteous, the front desk managers extremely helpful. The proximity to the CMP Camp made this the best choice.

Comfortable and Accomodating

Deborah Won 28/05/2017 16:45

I visit Anniston yearly for visits with my family.
The staff at the America's Best Value Inn have become like additional family members to me.
This year was no different. I was greeted warmly on my arrival by the manager. We had nice long chats about different places I visited during my stay so that he could recommend to others who stay, and as always the breakfast area was clean and coffee was hot. The Danish tends to be "not so fresh" even though the manager claimed to get it from BJ's weekly, but by the end of the week, the danish offerings are scant and hard...
This is the 2nd year in a row that I was promised the pool would be open and it was not. This year they told me that the maintenance man had lost his father and had traveled home, but I was promised that by the end of my 14 day stay, the pool would be up and open. This never happened and the day I left the pool was as green and unusable as the day I arrived. HOWEVER, the manager DID tell me that due to that broken promise, if I came to stay again next year, he would help me out a bit on the room rental price, so I will have to get back to you next year on whether or not he holds to that promise.
My room, 214, was clean, comfortable and handicapped accessible (and YES, I LOVED the brand new shower units that you can wheel or walk right into rather than climbing over the edge of a tub).... The beds are comfy... the chairs and desk units are mix matched and not so easy to work at as they could be.... I don't watch TV but I did note that the televisions had been replaced since last year....
I never saw an insect.... so that made me happy.. and while I was there the pest control guy made his rounds, so I know they do keep on top of that!!
At one point, I was asked to move to another room, (110) but that was short lived.... The room smelled like pot (which I do not utilize) and it was so bad that even the front desk clerk, when coming with room deodorizer, was as sick to his stomach as I was. There were men drinking outside the room next door and being a bit loud, and thankfully the desk clerk agreed that I could not stay in that room and he moved me back to my original room (214)....
Overall, if you are looking to stay in a decent motel near restaurants, malls and the highway, the America's Best Value Inn is a good deal... don't expect the pool and you're golden... Be friendly with the staff because they're awesome people.... and say YES to the free breakfast if you want a cold breakfast (cereal) or toast...but stay away from the danish....
I'll be back again next May, and HOPEFULLY have a better report on the pool and breakfast offerings.... But YES, I will be back because I love the staff and the rooms are comfy and bug free......

A good motel if you are too tired to drive further

Samet Don 16/05/2017 23:33

Well, if you are tired and looking for a place to sleep only and take a shower, you would like this one, but you should not forget that this is just a motel as many others.

Staff service: I met the business owner who is from India, pretty helpful and polite person. He is living at the motel with his family so you feel safe with them. I am a Turkish, so bargaining is part of my culture, he did not even be rude to me even when he said no! He kindly goes like I am sorry sir, I can not accept your accept.

Cleanness: I would give 7 based on 10, which is I think good rate for motels in that area. I spend nearly 40 minutes to find a motel with good reviews but could not find any, so if you are tired and looking for a motel only to go get some rest and then continue next day, this would be a good option for you.

Safety: There is a receptionist waiting 24/7 and actually a family living in the motel, it does not seem like an unsafe place. The facilities are surveillance all night long.

Clean comfortable room.

I came for the weekend for a comedy show.
The staff was friendly and gave me a free upgrade to a nicer room!
The A/C was cold and there were plenty of clean towels. The room came with a TV, microwave, mini fridge, and a couch. There was free breakfast in the morning. I had a good experience here. The only bad thing was the pool didn't have any water in it, but no biggie since i didn't pack a swimsuit anyway. :)

Great!!!!

We were really Impressed With the Value! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable with nice bedding. Granite sink. We had two queen beds for $56. A great bargain. Hotel is surrounded by restaurants and right off the highway.
