We stayed here 2 nights as this is about the closest place to stay that is by Huddles. It is very close to downtown. The breakfast is very good. Loved the waffles :) Owners were also very helpful and friendly.

This place is typical of a Hampton Inn. But my main complaint is the cleanliness of the common area. Our rooms were clean although the carpet was stained. But the lobby and main stairs were littered with dirt. The front desk could see the debris on the floor in the lobby area but did nothing all night to clean up.
First impression was lasting and not great.
Also, no elevator to access second floor.

Was very dissapointed with the room, it had a smell to it as did the halls. I had my grandson come to go swimming and the pool was not heated. The hot tub was broke down and the sauna is now a storage closet. He could not last more than 5 minutes as it was so cold The only thing is it was a cheap price. i have stayed in this motel years ago when it was americinn and it was so nice. Very sad it has gone downhill

We were in Walker for a concert at the casino. There was also some sort of city celebration going on. Rooms were scarce in town and the price reflected this.
The room itself was OK, not great. It looked to be just shy of needing a renovation. The TV did not have the Twins game. The room was quiet. Ours was ground floor. There is no elevator to the second floor. There were plenty of plugs for chargers, cpap, etc. There was a fridge and microwave.
The pool and Jacuzzi were closed, the reason given was "broken down."
They bill themselves as being right downtown and on the waterfront. Downtown starts about two blocks away and the waterfront is at least four blocks away. This wasn't a problem for us, but should be noted.
The adjacent restaurant appeared to be closed. Breakfast was OK with waffles, eggs, and similar things. No meat.
Check in and check out were fast.
OK, but not my first choice in Walker.

We have stayed in 2 of the other motels in Walker on previous trips to fish Leech Lake. On a busy weekend following the July 4 Holiday, we stayed at the Walker Hotel. A pleasant surprise. Our room, No. 103, had 2 queen-sized beds in it, but still had plenty of room in which to move around unlike many newer hotel rooms. Very clean with comfortable beds and reasonably priced. Our only criticisms were the shower-tub and toilet room was very tiny and the breakfast offerings were pretty limited. We will probably stay at the Walker on our next trip.
