Met our expectations
gfselecton 27/08/2017 16:07I came down from Seattle with my family to view the solar eclipse, and needed a basic, comfortable roadside motel. I'd never traveled to La Grande before, and I was a little concerned about this place, as the "America's Best Value" brand has a hit or miss reputation.
We were pleased.
This is a well-maintained older hotel with significant updates, friendly staff, and a pool for our kids to enjoy. The wifi was solid, our room was clean with brightly colored walls. Absolutely nothing fancy here, but solid all the way around. We would stay here again.

leaningon 21/08/2017 22:54On the plus side the Internet was superstrong and they allow dogs on a the end of the motel. The front desk people were very nice. But you know the people you interact with the most are the cleaning staff. They are the face of the company. They didn't quite get that the customer is important. The biggest complaint is that the condition of the motel was a two star. My advice is to charge a bit more. That way you have enough money to keep it looking nice.
Great place for very good price
Debbi2230on 21/08/2017 22:03We came down from Washington to watch the eclipse and the people here were very good to us and our 2 dogs. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The refrigerator and microwave were a much appreciated amenity. The pet area is convenient and perfectly maintained. They even kept track of a laptop charger we left in the room and didn't get back for until two day after we checked out! Great staff, lovely hotel. We will definitely stay here again anytime we are in Eastern OR!

A convenient location and the WiFi was good.
The bad, it's old and really needs a remodel. Lime green and lemon walls, dark blue and green carpet with gold curtains.
Bad lighting in the bathroom, and duct tape on the door way holding the carpet down. And not really clean.

Gabe Kon 17/08/2017 04:36This hotel is what you think it is: an older building that had been somewhat refreshed with new carpet and paint. The rooms, bathroom, and facilities are all adequate..but very average. I had issues connecting to the Wi-Fi, and was asked to call an 800 # to resolve. The pool is small, fine for kids, but an adult cannot do laps. The exercise room is fine (3 machines). The breakfast was sparse.
