Nice hotel, but...
Dorette Son 25/08/2017 05:03Stayed here August 17-20. Customer service very good. Jamie, who checked us in, especially friendly and helpful. Busy weekend, but enough breakfast to accommodate everyone.Tea and coffee ( which is pretty good) available all day is a plus. Clean rooms and nice decor. Would have given higher rating but room 116 which we were in first two nights had a bad odour. We stayed in room 117 the third night. There was a bad odour each time we turned on the faucet. We didn't complain as we knew hotel was all booked due to eclipse. Also could smell pet urine just outside the main entrance to the hotel.
Left in the lurch
935jayvon 21/08/2017 22:08The short version-after 3 calls/visits to the front desk asking for a late checkout and being told 'sure, just be out by 3pm', our daughter (who was returning to college and couldn't check into her dorm until 12pm) was asked by housekeeping to leave on the dot at 11am. She called the front desk, who told her she had to leave. This same clerk had told my husband THAT SAME MORNING that she could check out late. He called (from the road 3 hours away-returning home) and was told that there were no late checkouts, by the SAME CLERK. We will not be staying at Americinn again. OH, and there were no bath towels in the bathroom (which my husband noticed as he was stepping into the shower)... :(.
My First Experience with AmericInn
Gillum Son 13/08/2017 16:05I really enjoyed staying here. The young lady that check us in was very helpful. The room was clean and very nice. We woke early and I went down to put some items in our car and saw that breakfast was already out. This was about 5:15 or 5:30 A.M. instead of 6:00. We were very glad as we had over 500 miles to drive that day. The breakfast was very good, especially the eggs. I would highly recommend this place.
Good Hotel
David Mon 12/08/2017 05:22This place was pretty good for hotel. I'm not too big on pet friendly hotels and this was no exception. They tend to have a pet odor that you just can't get out. Our room was clean though our breakfast was average but did the job. Not many options in Atchison but this is one of the better ones.
Great Stay
Rayleen Lon 14/07/2017 15:20Friendly staff & clean lobby upon entering, easy fast check-in. Coffee & chance to make Tea (hot or cold) in lobby area, plus a nice sitting area. Had fresh cookies for guests. Clean and spacious room. Pool area was clean and relaxing. Breakfast was a great variety of both hot & cold items.
