What People are saying

Perfect weekend

Sandra Von 31/05/2017 16:55

Recently spent Memorial Day Weekend at this location while in town visiting family. Registration was done quickly and professionally. The staff was more than helpful with any questions. The rooms and lobby were very clean. The Continental breakfast offered many choices and was well received by other hotel guests. A convenient location right off the freeway and the rates are more than reasonable.

Under renovation

We had a difficult ttime locating the hotel as the main sign was currently being replaced, and the lawn signs were behind some bushes/trees. We chose to stay here as it was identified as being pet friendly. Communication through email with the front desk ensured they knew we had a puppy; the fron desk was friendly and pleasant. Our room was clean, on the first floor which provided easy access for us to take the puppy outside. At first I was concerned with the number of teenagers roaming the halls; but the parents did a great job or corralling them and keeping the noise to a respectable level. The hotel offered a continental breakfast which was a nice bonus.

Nice place to stay. I would stay there again.

Even though the place was remodeling, the rooms were clean and the public areas were in good condition and clean.
The room was well lit, clean and had ample cabinet space for my belongings.
There was always coffee available through the day.

Unacceptable

First: No sign. you have to know to turn into the Residence Inn parking lot- then you might see the little paper signs directing you around the back. No signs on building, so we just guessed that we were in right place. We weren't even sure it was really open, we had to ask at the front desk. Second, no pool. Well, there was a pool, but it was green. We were told that they just shocked the pool so it would be open in a few hours. Okay, disappointing, but we could wait. Decided to go out and come back later...on our way out, there were people swimming in the green pool. We decided to wait until the morning to swim...our little guy was disappointed again, but we figured we would wait for the chemicals to work.. Besides, the pool would be open at 7 am right? Wrong, pool door sign said closed for maintenance next morning. I asked when it would be open and was told that they had to shock the pool. And she was the only one there ... SO many people were in it the night before. Hmm pool closes at 10. What happened to all the hours in between. When I expressed my disappointment, after all the pool was our way to give our little guy some active fun wile attending an arts festival nearby, I was told that we could swim if we wanted to , but it would be gross. Ummm, no, thank you. We had a room on the third floor, walked out onto carpet padding, caution tape everywhere. The room itself was nice and we had a quiet night. I wanted to like this hotel, but the main reason we booked it was for the pool, If someone was actually working on it, I would have understood...but to be told on Friday afternoon that the pool was shocked- and that they would be packed- then come to find out Saturday morning that nothing was done was unacceptable. I would have stayed in a different hotel if they had been honest about the pool from the beginning.

Renovation mess

Arrived at 10pm to find lobby and surrounding area in disarray. Manager casually explained that hotel was being renovated - a fact they might want to share on their web site. Lights were hanging from the wall in the corridor, and odd pieces of building materials were left around. Incredible noisy traffic on the freeway side of the building too.
