Not what I expected
990traveler67on 21/08/2017 14:17I booked the Baymont Inn & Suites because of my past experience with the Baymont chain. Further, I always looks for a nonsmoking hotel. The first impression walking into the lobby was acceptable. However, as soon as we opened our door to our room, it smelled heavily of smoke. I went to the front desk and she asked if we had touched anything. I said we had just walked into the room. She had me call up to the room and tell my family that they are not to touch or do absolutely nothing in the room. She said she had one room left and that it was handicap accessible. When we walked in that room there was no strong smoke smell but still had an unpleasant smell to the room. I have stayed at Baymont Inn & Suites before and this hotel definitely does not come close to my past experiences, especially for the price of the room. To me, this room was more on the level of a Super 8; however, you were paying much more than the Super 8 rate.
Comfortable and Quiet
Perry Aon 15/08/2017 05:44This is an average Inn which was quiet most days. The facility was fairly well equipped with courteous and helpful staff with very good housekeeping. Breakfast service was better than average which included hot food items. The location was very conveniently located off I35 in beautiful Lakeville. The only criticism offered is that our room appeared to have aged lumpy uncomfortable beds, hard pillows and the flat screen TV had intermitent sound problems. Be advised that the walls and doors do not seal out hallway noise. We are not the type of travellers to complain unless the situation is unacceptable which in this case we didn't feel this was the case.

Late night stop
stutz50on 13/08/2017 14:23This was the last motel we could find since everything was full. The clerk was super friendly and helpful. We had a nice clean large room. The beds were average. They have a nice hot breakfast. I wouldn't mind staying here again if I was in the area.
Our overnight stay
40dorothygon 12/08/2017 01:26Liked the location but the motel had a lot to be desired; there was a hole on the top of the tub; commode was very low, not even standard; we found only one cart that should have been retired to put our luggage on and none were available to carry out. Towels were not very clean and very rough. Soap was substandard and mattress was not very comfortable; and no decent chairs in room to relax and sit...they were like two kitchen chairs. Personnel were very nice but the condition of the facility has a lot to be desired.
