What People are saying

Quiet and affordable

This Inn maybe hard to find because of the lack of signage and it sits back behind a motel that is scheduled to be torn down but we were not disappointed staying here. The desk clerks were friendly and very knowledgeable of the area. Our room was spacious, clean. The beds were very comfy and the air conditioner was fairly quiet. Bathroom is a little small but that did not interfere with our stay. There is an enclosed pool that looked very inviting but did not try it out. Its open from 8am to 11 pm and is in a separate building attached. Parking lot is well lit and has plenty of room for large vehicles. Breakfast was the usual motel fare, with eggs (microwaved cheese omelets, scrambled etc) just barely warm and pastries just out of a box. But there are 3-4 restaurants a block or two away that serve breakfasts. The free wifi is excellent here with no sign in like other chains. Yes this place is hard to find but well worth it. Would definitely stay here again.

poor communication in pricing

Jerry Pon 01/08/2017 05:10

We were quoted one price in February and then a totally different price in July was sent to us just days before our stay. We had no time to change to a different hotel. Our original hotel went out of business and suggested AmericaInn as the place to stay..Not happy with the way they went about this situation.

DISORGINIZED OPERATION, BUILDING FALLING APART, CHEEP POOR TRAINED HELP

chris201734on 17/07/2017 15:57

We stayed at this Motel recently for multiple nights. This place was hard to find because it was behindand old buildings not properly marked. As soon as we checked in I noticed problems. The building being ran down was one of the problems. For the price that you pay per night you would expect a building to look halfway decent. When we entered into our room we immediately found a standing light on a desk that was broken hanging by the wires. The TV service was terrible and was tiling the entire time we stayed. Not to mention the channel selection very sparse. Since we had multiple children we stayed in a suite with an additional room. We required the use of the pull-out sofa sleeper. We were disgusted to find these sheets and bedding were never changed. We raised the complaint immediately and the gentleman on staff that evening was very apologetic and resolved this issue at once. This gentleman was the only professional staff member we encountered at this facility. After the sofa incident we noticed the doors that had locks DID NOT lock. This part was especially disappointing because of the bathroom lock NOT operating and the children walking in on each other. Also on this Thursday evening we were surprised to find that the advertised sauna was now a storage facility. The advertised hot tub was down for maintenance, and the pool was shocked so heavily it BURNS your lungs when you breathe. The next morning we all woke with sore throats, and burning red eyes. To our surprise breakfast was very sparse. The staff were extremely slow to provide refills on the sausages and eggs. I understand when people all get up at once there is a rush but we don't got one hour to waste trying to get breakfast. The gentleman who was tending the station did not look like he showered for the last year, and I could swear to God something fell out of his beard that was moving. NO he was not wearing a net.. so much for having an appetite. I'm guessing this is how they conserve on the breakfast fund. I think the coffee was the best part of our stay. The next evenings we found the pool was the exact same way nothing had changed. Even after bringing up the chlorine levels to the staff they failed to resolve the problem. The breakfast situation was changed up over the next coming days but the same scrubby staff still attended the station with still no net on his beard. After spending two nights waking up in the mornings with sore throats I decided to pull the cover off the air conditioner and found the evaporator was covered in mold. My conclusion is this place is having financial problems. Based on my stay I would not recommend anybody to stay at this place. I think an immediate inspection needs to take place on this facility and its practices. To top it off the Wi-Fi that is advertised as being building-wide is building-wide but very weak and so your device will not pull data. All in all a very disappointing stay and not even a mention of a discount when the staff were notified of these problems. Sorry Americ Inn but I don't think I'm staying at any of your locations again...

Disappointing

We were in the area for a Saturday wedding. The motel was sold out the two nights we stayed. When we asked for dinner suggestions, we were only told about 1 restaurant 5 miles away. With a short drive we found that there are a tremendous amount of choices.

A group of collector car enthusiast decided to tailgate, and took up more than half of the parking stalls closest to the front door until after 11 when we got back in for the night. I was surprised that staff hadn't encouraged them to move to the lawn.

The baseball teams that were staying there were running up and down the halls and slamming doors after midnight (ok, I'm old - but we were tired), and ultimately appeared to have done quiet a bit of intentional damage to the trim in the hallways (strips were on the hallway floors when we got back on Saturday night. And I have to ask, how does no one notice this when it's happening???).

Saturday morning, baseball team and then the car enthusiast had over taken the small breakfast area, so at 9:45 we ended up going out for breakfast. Breakfast was very basic, from what I could see (pre-packaged sweet rolls, I didn't see any fresh fruit, eggs for egg & muffin sandwich, usual waffle station). Sunday, we just grabbed coffee to go, as we had a long drive.

No housekeeping on Saturday, so when we got back from the wedding, we had to ask for clean towels. No apology or explanation. Woman handed us small, thin, rough, well used towels.

Room was ok and spacious (but oddly small water closet/tub area) and the bed and pillows were comfortable. A/C was very loud..(but not loud enough to cover the sound of running young men, and slamming doors), and the room temperature was hard to regulate.

I'm not sure, but I think that due to music festival in the area and apparently baseball, most hotels were sold out, and we paid more then I expected to have to for this hotel, with a senior discount, so I wouldn't say it was a good value.

Location is just off the interstate, but a little tricky to actually get to the property around a construction site. We did not use the pool or hot tub. Check in and out was easy... but staff didn't ask how our stay was at check out.

Unfortunately, my mistake for not booking sooner so we could have gotten a room down the street where the wedding had suggested we stay (better ratings and less expensive).

Business Trip

In town for business meeting. In general this is a pretty good place, very quiet and restful. Breakfast buffet was good. Only issue that we had was the air conditioning unit in the room. Was very loud when it ran and seemed to have a difficult time requlating the temp in the room. Other than that issue, would be a good place to stay for a night or two.
