cindik527on 26/08/2017 14:31I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Munising area. Not only were the rooms nice, the pool was great too. This hotel is very comfortable. I enjoyed the free breakfast everyday too. The front desk staff - Rachel- was so accommodating! She always had a smile on her face, and was very helpful with all of my traveling questions.
King Suite with tub for two
tonepoet3on 26/08/2017 00:03Nice room with tub for two. Unlike most Americinns we've stayed at, this one does have an elevator. Breakfast OK. Friendly service. Quiet sleep. Located close to Munising and the Pictured Rock coast. We didn't use the Jacuzzi feature because we just enjoy a nice quiet soak after a day of travel. Will definitely stay again.
Stay before pictured rocks kayak tour
V5157SXkarencon 21/08/2017 20:32Great homey atmosphere, clean and quiet. The receptionist was very helpful in recommending local eateries and attractions. We stayed before the pictured rock kayak tour, the location was perfect. Would stay again.
Great place to stay
Ireta Son 19/08/2017 17:08If you need a place to stay to get a good night sleep, this is a the place for you. My husband and I traveling in the Munisung area and decided to spend the night here. We were welcomed by a sweet young lady that was very friendly and easy to talk to. She even remembered us later and knew what room she had given us. Our room turns out to be very clean and spacious with a refrigerator and microwave. Our king size bed was even more confortable than our bed at home and we were impressed on how quiet our room was. We did notice the pool area looked great for the kids play area but no grandkids with us this trip. They had a nice breakfast buffet to choose from.
mold in the showers, desk staff and owners who don't care
nanook6969on 17/08/2017 23:18I checked in on Monday 8/14 at 5:30 pm. I was told I was given a handicap room on the second floor, which was fine. I went to my room and looked at the shower. the entire interior junction at the wall/floor was covered with black mold. (I hope my upload of the picture tells the story). I went to the front desk, showed the woman the picture and asked if this was normal housekeeping. She stated "No." but nothing could be done until the following day. No manager available to speak to. Just shower in a moldy enclosure. I emailed the picture of the shower to the manager. The following day, I asked if the manager was available, "Not until this afternoon" was the response. "But the owner will be here shortly. Raj was the name. I called Raj at 10:00 am to discuss the matter. Raj could not have cared less. She referred me to the manager who would be in that afternoon. An owner who does not care. That's as bad as it gets in my mind. Discussions with the manager later in the day had the same result. There had been a weak attempt to clean the shower that day, but the mold was still there. I found another place to sleep and shower that night. No thank you. I shall not return to this hotel. Especially at 180.00/night. Absolutely unacceptable. This does not speak for the chain, as I have stayed in all americinns north of bay city and most are wonderful properties.
