Nice weekend getaway
Jennifer Don 20/06/2017 05:17We arrived about 9pm for check-in. The valet attendant was very friendly and greatly appreciative of a nice tip. Check-in was quick and informative, as this was our first time here. The elevators were fast and available (a problem we have had at other hotels in this chain). The room was nicely decorated. There was a fridge, and a table and chairs for 2. Also, a love seat by the window and a very large bathroom with both a glass enclosed shower and a large bathtub. A bonus for this hotel (that many others should take note), there was a microwave in the vending area of each floor. The lobby was exceptionally clean and inviting, with a fireplace and nice furniture. One odd thing that happened during our 2-night stay, housekeeping entered our room around 10am using a key and did not knock or announce themselves. I said 'hello' from the bed and she apologized and ducked out quickly. We left about an hour later to do some touristy things, came back around 3pm and our room was never cleaned. Not a deal breaker, as we only needed extra coffee, cups, and a couple fresh towels; just odd that she came in without warning. Many restaurant choices, just wish there had been room service. But the stay was great overall, comfy beds and plenty of tv channels. Also, alarm clock with USB outlets, that was helpful. There is also a public beach just past the parking garage. lifeguards on duty during day, splash pad for kids 12 and under, picnic table under canopies, a sand volleyball court, 2 jungle gyms, restrooms, and outdoor showers to get the sand off.
long weekend
bp1964on 14/06/2017 14:28beautiful hotel, sports bar food is excellent, buffet weekend brunch was good. we used uber to get downtown around $50 each way. staff was all very friendly! my favorite was james bond the doorman! very nice helpful gentleman! there is a beach about 5 min walk, i was there very early in am they were sweeping sand there's playground for kids too and a snack bar!

Pat Fon 17/05/2017 04:13Rooms are very nice with a bathtub so big I can float in it. Several food options, all excellent. Casino is a bit of a walk from the hotel. Half price buffet for seniors on Wednesday plus other bonuses. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Fridge and coffee maker in room was really appreciated. Microwave available in vending area. Free wifi worked pretty well in room but not so well in bars or convention area.
5+ Stars - Front Desk review
garlicjohnon 15/05/2017 15:33I want to take this opportunity to praise the front desk staff at this hotel; specifically, the excellent service provided by Denise! Without a doubt, the service level I consistently receive is unparalleled to any other establishment.
Every hotel has a set check in time. Most make accommodations for early arrival, when permitted or available. However, I've never had a single staff member search for me and personally hand deliver my room key. Denise sets the standard for a 6th star rating!!! Every morning, Denise effortlessly brightens up the lobby with her warm and genuine greeting and great big infectious smile. Most days, it's a challenge to continue walking away. Denise is one of many great staff members and the reason why I continually return. She is a true professional and shining star for this hotel!
On average, I stay at this property three times per year (which is why I'm impressed with the fact she will greet me by last name every time she sees me). However, I travel across the country approximately 8 months out of the year. I rarely write any reviews, yet I make an effort to acknowledge superb customer service. Unfortunately, I've noticed a decline in overall client satisfaction in the hotel industry. Hence why I find myself compelled to share this experience with you.

witnessforqualityon 07/05/2017 13:16Great Beds, very spacious but poor lighting. Can have noisy neighbors who have been up gambling. Even if your room is non-smoking that doesn't mean the entire floor is non-smoking.
No room service and the food in the casino is very unhealthy and mediocre.
The front desk is very helpful although the valets are scarce when you need them.
