I have been using the Ameron hotel regularly for my business trips. Before I had tried other hotels of the same category. I find this hotel the best for service, staff friendliness and efficiency.
The rooms look very similar, regardless the category. Internet works fine.
There is a sauna, a gym, an Italian restaurant. I am not impressed by the food at the restaurant, but It is an option if one does not want to go out.
Tram stop is across the street.
I recommend the Ameron for business and leisure trips. I have booked it for all my trips to Köln till the end of the year!

aiyesha_rahulon 01/05/2017 21:55We had planned to see the Koln Christmas markets for a long time and wanted to spend 3 days doing just that. We drove up from Frankfurt & stayed at the Hotel Ameron Regent. Those days are the busiest of the year, and the hotels run nearly at full occupancy.
The staff is very courteous, check-in & check-out are a breeze. The breakfast is not the best that I have seen in hotels of this class, but the coffee is excellent.
The tram stops are 5 min walk away and the line takes you to all the major Christmas markets in the Köln area from the oldest, to the hip to the newer ones. We took public transportation within the city to avoid hopping on and off the markets & also drink up some Gluh wine and Lumumba.
Awesome service and worth the money
Sai Krishna Bon 21/04/2017 15:10It's a 7-15 min tram ride from the central station. However, considering it's price and the service you receive in the hotel, it's very good. If you are looking for affordable stay this is the place to be. We got the deal for 320 EUR for 4 nights.
In our case the problem that we had was that we also have a 2 year old son and he doesn't eat a lot of western european food. He prefers only rice, noodles and pasta.
The hotel staff was very kind enough of cook it for us on request. This tiny small things actually make you come to such a place again and again.
We plan to go to Berlin and we will again look for a hotel of the Ameron Group.
best 7 days in cologne
AnthonyGrisanon 02/04/2017 16:26i stayed here for 7 nights. It was very close to the city and shops. it was a short tram ride or brisk walk. the rooms were very spacious and comfortable. the fitness area was clean and functional. the breakfast was great and the coffee was good. i will be back
