Lovely Hotel Anabel in Lloret De Mar
Linda Aon 23/08/2017 22:08A delightful ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️hotel, all staff were helpful and polite, our double room overlooked the front of the hotel, it was spacious, clean and comfortable. Same with the restaurant, plenty of choice and very well presented. Entertainment at night was enjoyable with a variety of acts over the week and the bar menu had lots to choose from too A ride in the glass lift up to the top floor is a must if you enjoy a view of the pool daytime or night. Would definitely stay here again!!!! 😎🍹🍺💃👙🍦🍴🍾🍷🍻🍤🍕🏊🌴
Amazing hotel
Rachel Pon 21/08/2017 22:42My daughter (7) and I have just got back from a 4 night stay at this hotel. We had the best time ! The hotel is spotless , rooms are fine , the floor and dark wood make the room a bit dated but they were spotless and cleaned everyday. Free wifi and air con too. All staff were great , maids were very polite , reception helpful and the bar and restaurant staff could not do enough for you . They bring your drinks to the table and will not keep you waiting ! Alcohol prices were very reasonable I thought . About 5 euros for a cocktail and snacks, burgers and baguettes about 3/4 Euro.
We were half board and the food in the restaurant was nice . However a fussy eaters would probably moan or not like . I enjoyed all the meals I had tho.
The pool area is also very nice. The artificial grass is great and stopped the kids slipping over. However no floats are allowed in the pool. There's a children's club which was great and the staff were so nice and very funny , dancing a lot ! The evening entertainment was good and not just based for the children. There is a park in the grounds so the kids can play and make their own fun. I am booking again tomorrow and coming back in October with my boyfriend 😊
Thanks for a great holiday
Spotlessly clean, great food, lovely staff
AnniePenon 15/08/2017 10:33Just returned from a stay here, many years after first staying as a child. The hotel is immaculately clean, comfortable and the staff are efficient, helpful and friendly with great language skills. I was travelling alone and emailed ahead to ask not to be allocated a room on a low floor; Benito replied quickly advising they would give me a top floor room - wow! This was a single en suite, on Floor 7 - nothing special as hotel rooms go, but again, very clean and tidy, with a small fridge (great for storing bottled water etc.,), marble-tiled bathroom with bath/shower over, and a fixed hairdryer (fine for simply drying hair, but not great for styling as only one temperature). However, where the WOW comes in, is on the terrace. As this is the top floor there is nothing above the terrace which is almost as big as the room, is in full sun all day and furnished with a sun bed, table, chairs and a parasol, as well as a view over the pool and to the sea. Travelling alone, I didn't really want to sit around the pool, so having this private sunbathing area was great - cool drinks in the fridge, peace and quiet - bliss!
The food was very good for my tastes - lots of choice at breakfast (cold cuts, cheeses, fresh fruit, cereals, hot options such as bacon, fried eggs, tortilla, sausages - different options each day - as well as a range of breads and pastries, yoghurts, fruit juices, tea, coffee etc., all served on a huge buffet.
Dinner is similar buffet-style, with a great choice of salads to start including perhaps king prawns, smoked salmon, avocado, cooked meats. Main courses included paella, chicken kebabs, loin of pork, steak ..... choices of vegetables, pasta or potatoes too, then a range of desserts or fresh fruit. The waiter attends very quickly when you are seated to take a drink order - this is the only small niggle to mention. You do need to pay for that immediately, which means getting cash out ready; there may be a method of charging to the room but - if so - it wasn't apparent and all seem to be handing over cash.
The bar and lounge are comfortable and the staff are again efficient and friendly, serving you at your table. Oddly, prices for normal beer or a glass of house wine (very acceptable) are good at around 2.20 euros for a glass of wine, but Gin and Tonic prices seem high at 9 euros....I didn't venture outside the hotel, so don't know how that compares with other bars.
This is a family run and family-friendly hotel so there are lots of children (this was in the main school holidays) but I didn't find this an issue - there is plenty of entertainment with separate play areas by the pool, a kiddies pool, entertainment staff running games and activities etc., There was also adult entertainment in the evening with singers etc., so no need to leave the hotel unless you choose to.
The exterior is kept just as immaculately as the inside with beautiful plants and palms as well as two petanque/boules pitches in the front grounds.
Overall, an excellent stay and I would highly recommend for families, couples and singles..... I cannot imagine better single room facilities in many places. Not perhaps the place for a young group looking for more raucous entertainment as - in general - this is a quiet, genteel hotel and I would expect noisy groups to be discouraged.
Good time!
TJ672016on 09/08/2017 07:02Hotel Anabel is a modern, classy hotel. Beautiful decor and extremely well looked after. We upgraded on arrival only due to being out Pearl Wedding Anniversary and seeing that the Superior rooms were just that little bit more special. The upgrade for so me was €15 per room per night but was well worth it. You are provided with bathrobes and slippers, fabulous comfortable bed that was around 8 foot wide. Tea and coffee plus kettle etc provided daily in your room and bottled water. Fridge and hairdryer in every room we understand. Food can be a little limiting, however we stayed bed and breakfast and the breakfast was sufficient for what we eat. We would not go all inclusive at this hotel as we think the meals are limiting as we have said. The food is good quality and plenty of it. We did stay in the hotel one night for our evening meal. The price was €12 each but unfortunately that night the principle food on the menu was fish or chicken which was ok as there was chicken for us to eat. There as of course all the salads, pasta and soup etc. Deserts are limited for choice. The Chambermaid was fantastic. So polite as was all staff. They really could not do enough for you. The room was kept so lovely by her. The domestic staff in all areas were exceptional. The pool area was fantastic. Spotlessley clean, 2 SOS staff there all the time. There is a snack and drinks area which was great. Cannot fault this hotel at all. Close to the centre and beach. Lovely place. Shopperholics would have a field day !! . It was 30 years ago we visited Lloret De Mar....so many changes but still a wonderful place. We had a ball!
