Excellent location and very friendly staff. Staff spoke English. Short walk to subway (10 min), shopping malls, excellent restaurants, etc. I visited during March and the hotel was an excellent price. Stayed at this hotel for about 13 days. Wi-Fi worked good. Everything in hotel room worked well. Clean and in good order. If I needed a hotel again in St. Petersburg I would stay here again.

Can't beat the location!

Right in the very heart of the attractions, restaurants, and shopping, it's great value for the money. I was only there one night,so did not explore the amenities, but it was clean, comfortable, and quiet, with a good buffet-style breakfast included.

Clean, comfortable, helpful.

We stayed for a week in this hotel and were happy to return there after our wanderings in St Petersburg, a lovely city. We booked the superior room as others had said basic room was tiny. There was nothing remarkable about our room but it was a reasonable size, clean and comfortable, absolutely silent during the night. The breakfast is Ok with a couple of hot choices each morning. Staff could not have been more helpful with advice about buses, taxis etc. We had several meals at the Russian Cafe at the entrance on Nevsky Prospekt. In the evening it's informal but buzzy and good for people watching. We liked the Cat Cafe ( cross the road and it's in the street behind and parallel with Nevsky) Tiny, you need to book and weekends are best for atmosphere. Good Georgian cooking.

GREAT!!!!

In a very central-convenient location. The metro station is almost opposite. All major sights are within walking distance. Shops and restaurants in the neighborhood. The room was spotless as the bathroom. The staff is quite helpful. Excellent value for money. I highly recommend this.

Great location

There are several hotels under the same address and they are located on different floors. The building itself is conveniently located close to the subway station. It is also in a walking distance from the railway station if one is arriving by train from Moscow. Nevskiy prospect is a rather busy street, but the hotel is hidden in the courtyard, so there going to be no problems with noise. I booked the suite ("apartamenty" in Russian, that consists of two rooms: a bedroom and a living room combined with open floor kitchen. This area could easily accommodate up to 10 people for entertainment. The hotel provided an extra bed for a small child free of charge. We absolutely loved the home made type of breakfast they cooked and exceptional service at breakfast too. If you are not a fan of traditional russian breakfast there are plenty of cafes nearby you could pick from. The biggest problem we found was a tiny elevator, that can accommodate only one person with a couple of suitcases, and then you have to navigate a flight of stairs down and another one up to make your way to the suite. But it is an old building which was retrofitted with an elevator, so we cannot complain. Overall it was a lovely stay and if we are back in St. Petersburg we will stay here again!
