Magical Place!
BeatrizG2on 10/11/2016 15:57Anand Lok keeps evolving and at the same time keeping its magic. This place is peaceful, accommodations are simple and comfortable. The best part is the staff and food in this place as well as the yoga facilities and private beach on The Ganga. Perfect place to hold a retreat or just stay in a tranquil environment.
A gem across the Ganges
BeatrizG2on 28/10/2015 11:03I just came back from this amazing place, my 4 visit to India and my first time in this area. I'm so grateful to discovered a piece of heaven, from the delicious food, very helpful staff, and beautiful accommodations and the private beach on the Ganges make this place a perfect place to connect to nature, receive the healing energies of the mountains, river and their organic food.
There is a very special feeling. Can't wait to go back and bring a group.
Great location, must stay
Adarsh Ron 03/07/2013 17:10Hi. Stayed there for 2 nights in 2009. Awesome location in the laps of the ganges. A short trek and a boat ride takes you to this paradise. We loved the food cooked based on the local produce. No air conditioning when we visited, I guess there is no need most year round. Recommend highly.
A getaway in the heart of Himalayas overlooking Ganga
jugalPuneon 19/11/2012 11:39Anand Lok is a perfect place for those who want to spend some quite time in a comfortable, scenic place in Himalayas, overlooking the ever beautiful Ganga. It is easy to access - just 22 Kms from Rishikase. Very comfortable rooms, good food, warm, eager to serve staff.
You should be fit enough to climb a small hillock to reach the place.
A place of great beauty
lynnesharanon 06/01/2012 16:25I have recently returned from Anandlok where I stayed for 6 days with a friend. The adventure begins when one arrives on the main road and has to clamber down rocks and take a boat across the Ganges and then climb a path up to the Hotel which is perched above the Ganges. Everywhere there are views of mountains and the Ganges sings away with her powerful voice below. One can sit on the terrace above Ganga and eat the wholesome and simple food whilst drinking in the beauty. The staff are extremely helpful and attentive and the huts simple and clean. We went in late Dec early Jan so nights and mornings cold but attention is now being paid to make sure that the rooms are draft proof and heating adequate. The gardens, both flower and veg are laid out in a way that delights the eyes and heart. At the heart of Anandlok is its admirable charity work. I would definitely go again.
