A fantastic stay!
linton240on 14/08/2017 21:17We usually do not write reviews, but we are making an exception because of our fantastic stay at the Andaz Savannah. Our stay started when Adrian, Andaz valet, came out in the pouring rain to greet us with a big umbrella and a welcoming smile. It continued inside when Sharamie warmly welcomed and surprised us by saying Lamara Davis had given us a complimentary upgrade to a suite because we were celebrating our special wedding anniversary. We were delighted when we saw our beautiful balcony suite. It was impeccably clean. There was a large red velvet couch, coffee table, upholstered chaise lounge chair, a big desk/table. The living room with the balcony looked out over the city and was separated from the bed room by double doors. The king bed was very comfortable. There was a large, flat screen TV in the living and bed room. The spacious bathroom had twin sinks with granite counter tops, a door-less walk-in shower, a huge, deep, soaking tub, luxurious towels, comfy robes and upscale bath toiletries. In the living area was a Keurig coffee maker, along with complimentary snacks, O.J. tea and soft drinks in the mini fridge. The only fee was if you consumed the wine or beer. Jordon was our smiling and welcoming dining room host. An abundant, breakfast buffet is available or you can order from the menu. Sous Chef, Eric Ruleaux graciously shared his recipe for the delicious breakfast potatoes and server, Bethany, give us information where we could purchase the delicious F.R.O.G. jam. The lovely, private 2nd floor outside pool area has shaded seating and is decorated with beautiful flowering plants. It is like sitting in a garden. The Andaz Hotel is perfectly situated directly beside Ellis Square. It is steps from the City Market, carriage rides, the free DOT shuttle bus and only two blocks from the Savannah River. The Andaz hosts we met, and want to mention are Sharamie, Andrew Botello, Adam Motter, Eric and Eric Schuemann. They were friendly, welcoming and accommodating, always ready to answer questions or make helpful suggestions. The Andaz Hotel is not like the usual cookie cutter hotel chains. It is cutting edge sophisticated, but it is also filled with the Southern hospitality and charm of Savannah and it's people. Andaz valet, Thaddeus, sent us off with excellent directions on how to more easily exit the city. We will be back to Savannah and are looking forward to staying at the Andaz Hotel.
The ONLY Place to Stay in Savannah
shell202020on 14/08/2017 20:49I could tell from other reviews that this was the place for us to spend our three-night stay in Savannah, and they did not steer us wrong. We absolutely loved it. It's a modern, trendy hotel in the perfect location for doing anything and everything in Savannah.
Nice touches like free snacks in the rooms and cookies and flavored water all day in the lobby added to the classy and gracious atmosphere of the hotel. Staff were all - every single one of them - friendly and welcoming. The rooms were immaculate, with lots of pillows on an incredibly comfortable bed.
If you are going to Savannah, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I will absolutely choose it again on my next trip.
UH-MAZING!!!!
on 14/08/2017 01:45If I could give the Andaz 10 stars I would! The best hotel I've ever stayed in. We stayed in a king bed suite and it was gorgeous! The room was super clean, it had a beautiful and rather inviting soaking tub and a walk in shower and double vanity. The bed was very comfortable, as well as the living room furniture. The room comes with complimentary drinks (water, iced tea, soda, orange juice) and we had our own little Keurig! But I didn't use it because the coffee that the hotel has readily downstairs was some of the best coffee I've had (yes more so than Starbucks and Dunkin') and if you run out of beverages, you can go to the lobby to the "guest pantry" and restock on what you need as well as snacks! The hotel staff were very welcoming and nice! The bar is FANTASTIC- very creative drinks/cocktails that were yummy, decently priced. Also, we got a complimentary breakfast which was out of this world! (Honestly better than some restaurants!) it was a buffet style with bacon, grits, potatoes, oatmeal, cereal, fresh bread & fruit to go with Greek yogurt with nuts and granola, muffins, tea, coffee, juice; and a server will offer eggs/omelette, pancakes, or waffles. I chose pancakes and they were delicious- definitely NOT from a box! Aside from how absolutely gorgeous this hotel was (very chic, sexy, and rustic) the location was great! In the heart of Savannah, within walking distance from pretty much everything (shops, bars, city market...)The ONLY downfall is parking- $30 a day for valet, however, there is a parking garage right next door for about $10 a day. I look forward to my next visit to Savannah as it is a wonderful city with lots of history & things to do- and I will most certainly choose this hotel over and over again. The hospitality was unbeatable and this made our trip that much more fantastic. Thank you Andaz for being so wonderful!
Loved it!
shirleycJ9858GLon 14/08/2017 00:45This hotel is right in the middle of everything, and it was very quiet. We got a good night sleep, had breakfast. We ordered off the menu because $22 each for the breakfast buffet was a bit more than we were ready to spend. I had grits w/cheese for the first time and loved them! Room was very clean and modern. We liked the free refreshments and the valet was on the ball! We never had to wait and everyone was so polite and friendly we really enjoyed ourselves. We will stay here the next time we travel to Savannah and highly recommend the Andaz!
Fantastic !!!
Adrienne Con 12/08/2017 07:58This review is a little late on coming but I'm on a Trip Advisor review kick at the moment. Some travel catching up to do.
My 12 year old son and I stayed here for two nights in April. The hotel has a great l action very close to everything and walkable to pretty much all spots you want to visit in the city.
Very easy check in. Wonderful staff everyone was super nice and friendly, Room was well appointed with a balcony that offered a great view. There is a great pool on the 2nd floor with a large lounge area - bring spring and warm but not hot my son was the only swimmer but I'm sure in summer it is a great hang out spot.
However, our favorite part was the very sweet and knowledgeable concierge Jen, my son had many questions the multiple times we visited her and she was just wonderful. Very kind and helpful.
We love Hyatt properties and will for sure visit again.
